I'm gonna make this thread now so when I get started officially I won't have to do it later. My ferrets are going to move from my room to the now recently emptied room in my house. It was my grandmother's before she passed away this year and the whole room feels empty and off without having some sort of life and activity going on in it. Not to mention, the FN takes up a lot of space in my room, and my ferrets can't be as free as I'd like them to be. So the switch will be an big improvement all around! The plan is:
- add another FN to the bottom level.
- add a tunnel system that can be opened and closed to the FN (not sure which level yet) that goes from the cage to the new play area.
- maybe move the litter pans into a storage bin and set up tunneling to that.
- maybe remove the ramps and replace those with tunneling too. (Tho, I'm not too sure about this one, and they've been pretty good about not removing the ramp covers recently so I may not have to do this one anyway.)
And that's the idea. I'll post pictures here as I get things set up. This is the first big project that I've done, ever, so I'm looking forward to seeing how this works out. It'll pay off if everything goes as planned (shy)

Sounds like a plan Check out some of the stickied threads for ideas on how to go about things. "Tunnel and tube system" is a good one also.
