Well it's a start. If you would like to add pieces of gizzards instead of chicken breast, that would be ok. Now that they are eating pieces, gizzards will help with jaw strength and help get them ready for bones. Have you tried giving them any heart or liver plain?

No but i gave binxi the last mouse we had she ate all the legs and half the head so far. Minnie isnt any further yet. No we havent tried giving anything plain other than chicken breast. i can try that now we just bought all fresh stuff today to make more soup.

Minnie just ate two chunks of chicken this size but neither wanted the heart by itself and the liver is defrosting at the moment but i can try again in the morning to give them it by itself. both seem full since they already had dinner.

Also Minnie seems to have a really hard time chewing just tiny pieces like that.

Definitely try using small pieces of gizzards instead of the chicken breast then. It will help her build up her jaw strength and handle larger pieces better and get her ready for bone, as long as there is no actual problem with her teeth causing her to have difficulties. The best time to introduce new things is when they are hungry.

yeah she chews fine and the vets looked at her teeth and they always check out she does have tarter buildup that I have been trying to get off but idk if that would effect her eating.
all that was left in the cage were chunks and the mouse and she wont touch either. I tried giving her chunks this morning she wanted nothing to do with it. I can go back to the shop tomorrow and pick up gizzards for them. Should I blend the gizzards or just cut it up and offer it to her?

You can't blend gizzards, they will destroy the blender. Small slivers in the soup are a good start. The easiest way to sliver meat is to do it when partially still frozen. I would also continue to try and make the soup thicker every week.

yeah we started to do that! and sounds good ill add the slivers of gizzard to tomorrow's meal! hopefully minnie eats it she is being very stubborn lol. she hates being hand fed we give it to her she takes it and just puts it down and walks away and if we hold her and try and give it to her she wont even take it. we only get her to eat two small chunks a day.

We may have to try some tough love with her. If she is eating the chunks at all she will not starve herself. We can give her a bit more time though to see how she does with the slivers. Binxie is eating like a champ though right?

oh yeah Binxie is basically taking whatever i give her and she prefers the chunks. she is six months younger and was introduced raw before we got her so that's probably why. Minnie holds out and i got her to eat a small chunk of gizzard this morning. but she wont touch it in the soup.

So i was making dinner tonight (were having nachos) so I thought I would try and give the babies some ground beef to see if they would like it and Minnnie loved it Binxie surprisingly wanted nothing to do with it. I at first had to put some of their soupie on it so she would lick it but once she took the chunk and ate it she kept coming back for more! so now i mixed a decent amount in the food they had left in the cage (which was less than a ounce of soupie) and she is going crazy on it. (as for the gizzards both of them left it at the bottom of the bowl Binxie ate about six pieces and hid a few and then she left the rest Minnie only ate that one chunk i gave her this morning.

Awesome they love beef! You can get the cheapest cut of it for them. They should have a red meat once a week anyway when they are switched. Keep trying with the slivers in the soup, or if you give them hamburg again mix them in with that and see if they accept them or pick them out. You are doing great, patience and persistence will pay off for you.

so they left all the chunks again but i realized minnie wanted to eat but she wasn't able to get the chunks out of the bowl we had them in which made me feel awful! So I began hand feeding Minnie the chunks in the bowl and she ate seven of them! Binxie ate around the same amount just a tad more then Minnie.
