Welcome to the Ferret Aid Society Thread.
We are a Toronto (Etobicoko area) based ferret shelter, in operation since 1996. We are a completely volunteer run shelter with no permanent employees, and no government funding.
As a “no kill” shelter we never allow our ferrets to be put to sleep because they’re old, we’re overcrowded, or they can be medically treated.
We rely on the donations of animal lovers to keep us running, new volunteers to help us, and you’re always welcome to adopt one of our babies.
We love and treat all the ferrets who come into our doors as if they were our own. It’s hard sometimes to see them go, but the good part of it is that we always know that they are going into a loving home with people who will love them as much as we did.

Trinity is accustomed to the raw diet, and to eating whole prey. Leah Single ferret, ~2 years old. Albino Leah was found as a stray last summer. Leah was anemic due to being kept in heat, dehydrated, and suffering from a uterine infection. We have spayed and treated Leah for her infection. Fun and energetic, her nipping has improved greatly. Leah has her anal glands intact. Kora Gets along with Ona but isn't bonded. ~1-2 years old. Albino Found as a stray this summer. Kora was not spayed, and in heat. Ona was another stray found this summer. Ona was also intact, and in heat. She has since been spayed. Ona loves to play and run around, very energetic girl. She also loves to cuddle in your arms as well. Hands and sudden movements alarm her, and she can nip pretty hard. Ona needs a home where she can learn to trust and love. Anal glands intact.

This past week has been a sad one for the Toronto shelter. We have lost the bonded pair of boys, Nemo and Ninja. Nemo left us Friday morning and Ninja followed him last night. Now they are together again, without pain.

We are proud to say that Rapscallion and Parker have found permanent homes (dance) Both are going to continue on as single ferrets due to their adrenal issues. Rapscallion will be staying on a frankenprey diet. Parker will be continuing to receive care for his infection. This is Rapscallion and I don't have a new one of Parker so this one is just the same
