Ms Myers is my favourite for the room itself, for the cage I use nature miracle cage wipes.

I use a half and half mix, 50% white vinegar, 50% water. I put it in a spray bottle. I also have a spray bottle mix of 50% water, 50% hydrogen peroxide, that I use for cleaning up the raw food prep, in addition to the regular stuff. A freaky experiment: clean your cutting board after the raw meat prep. When you think it's clean, spray the peroxide mix on it: you'll almost certainly see it reacting to some organic matter that will be remaining.

Really? Hydrogen peroxide that you get from a chemist? That's very interesting. I definitely should try that... my dad is a bit funny about the raw meat thing at the moment. Xx

Are you in the UK? I don't know if it's the same as in the US, but here you can buy hydrogen peroxide pretty much anywhere. It's usually right next to the rubbing alcohol. It's a diluted 3% solution (perhaps the chemist would give you 100%?! I wouldn't recommend that). Here's an example of what I mean: www.amazon.com/Hydrogen-Peroxide-Antiseptic-Solution-Bottles/dp/B000TZ769YActually, I think it would be really helpful for your Dad. It clearly shows whether all the traces of meat are gone from whatever utensils/surface you've washed. It makes you feel like a crime scene investigator (I loooove the smell of vinegar so I feel a little bit sorry that you don't get that enjoyment out of it!!!)

Yes I'm in the UK. I'll have a look for the 3% solution. If not I should be able to buy it from Amazon. That's what I was thinking about my dad! Yeah my sister in law loves the smell of vinegar too and she has the same feelings towards it lol. It's funny how we all like different things isn't it? Makes life interesting xx

I use Amway cleaning products. They're clean great and are very mild.

That is what i use to wash our clothes and ferrets blankets, too. I tried to use All unscented, and i felt i was going mad itching. I called them and asked if they used brighteners in it and they said yes. So i think that was the problem. Arm and Hammer unscented is good for a detergent.

Been looking but I can't find it anywhere. But I did manage to make a laundry detergent using Dr Bronner's baby mild uncented soap, washing soda and baking soda... I think that'll be a bit expensive to keep using but for now it's doing the trick. Leo hasn't reacted to it anyway which is the main thing for the moment. Xx
