Just starting my two jills out on a raw diet, planning on making the soup this weekend, they're currently on boiled chicken breasts and kibble and i want them off the kibble and onto a more varied meat diet! Firstly, how often should I give them soup?

Depends on how and what you're feeding. If they're only on soupy and eating well I usually feed 3x a day. I don't like to leave soupy around ciao

How old are your girls? The average grown female will eat about 2 ounces normally. A little more in winter and a little less in spring.
They may eat more soupie than that because they are making up for lost nutrients. I do leave soup out, but mine are free roam in the house and everyone has different times that they like to eat.
I pick up a soupie plate after a few hours and then put something else out. Soupie should be good for 6-8 hours, depending on the heat.
Right now, yours are eating boiled chicken breast and kibble.
One small note: A ferret digests it's food better when it's raw. They receive more nutrients from raw than cooked. I know you plan on switching, just wanted you to keep that in mind. Unlike humans who digest cooked food better thus getting more nutrients.
The key to success with getting them to eat a new food like soupie will be working with them. Sit on the floor with them, put one in your lap and dab some on their mouth. They have to lick it off. Then have a small spoon ready, and gently place one hand under them (just to let them know you are there) and offer some soup from the spoon.
If they eat all the soup, offer some more. Since they can't stash soup (but may try) an empty plate means that they could probably eat just a little more. Think in terms of ounces. Don't expect a grown female to eat half a cup or more.
