After recently losing one of my ferrets I have realized even more how precious our time is with them. I had previously tried to get my ferrets on a raw diet but the only thing I could get them to eat is egg yolks. After joining the forum and reading about the raw diet and mentor program I am so excited to try again. There is so much good info on here it's crazy! I'm going to get the soup ingredients tomorrow and start pronto on getting them eating that. I want their life to be healthier and happier and I believe that this is one step towards that!

Congrats on making the big decisions to make the switch! It is a lot of work I'm not going to lie. It gets easier though as it goes. Food prep time can take a while but it is so worth it! Don't hesitate to ask any questions you have, this is a great and very supportive group here. Have you read the threads holisticferret60.proboards.com/thread/17480/intro-raw-newbies-read here yet?

Yes I have read that and I'm going to get them started on the soup and then I'm going to apply for the mentor so I can continue with it. I have tried raw diet before but it was really hard and googling you get all kinds of answers so I was kind of confused on how to do it. I never even thought about doing a soup first and taking away kibble a few before so I'm hoping I can get them slowly there. I have 10 ferrets majority I have rescued so I know this will be a ton of work but I just want to make sure j give them the best life possible especially a couple of them that I got from abused homes so I'm up for the challenge

Thank you for your rescue work. That takes such a special heart to deal with all their sad stories and help them find happiness again or for the first time. We have quite a few ferrents with your business's size. They can help with percentages and numbers also. It can seem like alot of work in the beginning. It gets so much easier though once you begin. You find all kinds of way to make things easier and your Mentor will have ideas to help also. I am mathematically challenged. What helped me, as a visual learner, was to build a white board with the basic Frankenprey menu and keep it out and look at it daily. Once I had it down pat, I put a small whiteboard on my fridge with my menu plan. I can just look at it and know what to put out for breakfast and dinner. I don't have to think it out at all or remember if it's a muscle meat day/Bone In day or organ meal. This was my inital board. I later rearranged the menu to fit my daily schedule easier. You'll be on soup at first, but this was my board
