I was just at my vet here in the states and they don't have the ferret only distemper shot. Good to see all this other information. I'll have to check out the sub forum to see what else I can find.

I have always got a booster with the marshalls kits. I had Titers done on Mogwai when we got him at 4 months old. he was low. When I got Taz and Bleu I just did the booster. Still waiting for the results of their titers at 1 year old.
Seems like after the booster they are good for life as Cassia and Koufos going on 6 years old still has good titers.

Thanks everyone yes I would have to look into finding a ferret vet that would do titers but something I will probably looking into. Thanks for the toothpaste advice I think that I will follow your advice and use bonemeal plus oil that way I know the ingredients and where they are coming from.
Thanks for the input!!!!

I didn't feel right about getting booster vaccines since there is no ferret-specific one available. Am I right to assume whatever they had would have worn off and it would require a series of shots to be "vaccinated"?

I did the Parvo/distemper for Mogwai, Taz, and Bleu.
All my previous ferrets got the merial ferret distemper before they discontinued it.
I believe that the shots given from marshalls is unnecessary as they still have the protection from mothers milk, I think I read that the reason it does not last and a booster is necessary is because the natural antibodies from the mother keeps the initial vaccine from taking, I think that a single shot at 2 months old is all that it necessary.
Mogwai's Titers were non existent at 4 months old when we brought him home from the pet store, they did not give them a booster.
