Sorry I hadn't been here for awhile! Been pretty busy the past couple of months... that, and well everyone here is just fine, happy and dooking!
Anyway, we decided to do some Farmers Market shopping this past week... my girlfriend was especially interested in looking for some large Artichoke; as apparently our local Kroger doesn't sell them big enough for her... and we found some Quail Eggs, and decided to grab them and see if the Fuzzies will try them, since they were much cheaper then we expected them to be.
So now I am wondering, what can we do to get our two little Fuzzies interested in these eggs; preferably without causing too much of a mess on the carpet? LOL
We were thinking of cracking one open and mixing it in with their morning kibble...
But, they get very finicky whenever something unusual or new is mixed into the kibble.. even if its something like Ferretone (which we rarely use but they go nuts over) and end up not touching their food for two days!

I warm from fridge in hot tap water ( while in shell) about a minute or so. I then separate yoke and feed yoke only to senior, but my other ferret will eat it all. You can burst yoke and finger feed it to ferret.

I found some quail eggs at my local supermarket (Morrisons), never seen them sold anywhere local before. I was super excited so decided to show them to my three. They had a quick sniff and didn't think anything of them. I cracked them a little and they licked where the white was coming out but then that was it. I have to crack them open fully for them to eat it all. After trying 4 times (I bought 12 eggs, and have 3 ferrets) I've given up, and sort of glad as I haven't seen them in the shop again since. They ate them fine, but price wise and if I'm going to have to crack them and chuck the shell anyway I might as well stick with chicken eggs. 1 scrambled between my 3 is fine.
I always feed them raw. If they don't like it at first just feed the yolk and dab a bit on each of their mouths. If they are going to be off their kibble for a few days you might be best not feeding them the eggs at all. I'd hate to think they were going hungry as kibble fed ferrets need to keep eating.

I feed them raw. I just crack it open and put it in the bowl.

Appreciate the advice everyone.
Its taken a couple of weeks, Serenity still has shown absolutely no interest. She's always so finicky over food, took months just to get her to accept Orijen kibble mixed in with her Wysong.
Malcolm however now licks up the egg, raw... after its been cracked open and poured out into a bowl (dont want him making a mess with it on the carpet!) though, in the end just to get him interested, we had to squirt a few drops of Ferretone into it, then he just licks it all up but leaves the shell.
We're just happy he takes it!
