A picture of Lola (passed on 12-21-14) the white one and Lorenzo on the right, got them as a couple for farah to have friends, but Lola and Farah always fought so I kept her away from Farah and now Farah and Lorenzo keep each other company

I would love to find a way to get Farah off these meds or at least one of em...shes on 0.25 diazoxide every 12 hrs and 0.20 prednisone every 12 hrs as well...her bg check was finally good after a month of increasing her meds which was like 70 something... I think the soupies has contributed to that since they've been off kibble completely for almost a month now.... I find that they are ready to eat a soupie cube every 5-6 hrs...still working on slivers and chunks....was thinking about grinding wing tips so they can get more nutrition

It will stabilize her Blood Glucose once she no longer has starches or carbs. They can eat alot during a transition. Farah will need access to food 24/7 because of her Insulinoma. If they are only eating soupie now and no longer any kibble, you should be ready to begin moving to a Frankenprey menu. Your other options are Commercial grinds or Whole prey. Do you plan on feeding Frankenprey?

I also wanted to ask if you have been putting small slivers of meat in the soup.
That is the second stage in soupies. First, the soup gets thicker. Then you begin to add small slivers of meat to the soup. As they accept the slivers, you begin to increase the size of the slivers and decrease the amount of soup. I talked about that with you in an earlier post, so you probably already know this. I just want to check and make sure.
Once they are eating all slivers and larger pieces, then you move to a Frankenprey menu or your other Natural Diet choice.
Are you adding eggshell powder to the soupie. You can grind up the wing and make a bone powder. Or you could chop the wing or smash it and see if they will take it that way.
Aria and Ella are doing so well. So are you. Nice job ferrenting.

Didn't get o try the tips yet... Got a problem with Farah tho...yesterday morning early (5 a.m.) my pitbull either stepped on or leaned on Farah...making her wheeze and making those suck air noises they make sometimes when their eating, however she makes them like anywhere beteen 1-4 times every few minutes or so....took her to the vet yesterday morning and she only did it once while there, the vet listened with the stethoscope and didnt hear any cracking or anyrhing out of the ordinary... but last night after I got home I noticed it as mentioned above..and while she was sleeping I heard a couple popping sounds...and then regular breathing sounds after a minute or 2...and of course the suck air/wheezing noises accompanied by tiny whinning sounds which worry me....she definitely makes those sounds the entire time she eats.... I was thinking maybe he smashed her neck/throat a bit making it swell a little....I'm stumped.....anyone have this problem before?

Did the vet actually do any X-rays or just listen to her? How is she doing now?
