I would say a sign of severe agitation....that might be the best way to describe it. Both good and bad. I watched it today between Nefarious and Dodger. The intros are not going the best but there is hope. Nefarious had chased Dodger into the tube leading into the one sleep box (defensive position)after an altercation. Nefarious was wagging his tail on the outside and pacing and Dodger was in the tube wagging his tail, looking out and barking. I've seen the kits and other ferrets doing it in games of stalk and bash (fun) ciao

This post is a few months old but I didn't feel like making another to share my experience, since the thread was already here. Today I was play stalking Riley, who loves to nip at my feet and run circles around me, and she ran into one of her favorite places, the space in between the wall and the door. As I reached in to ruffle her she wagged her tail at me!! It thumped against the door and wall and I felt like I have seen heaven!! I'm so happy she has settled into our family so well!

My girls wag their tail all the time. First time my first one did it creeped the crap out of me lol...I feel like they shouldn't do, it still kinda creeps me out. But I love when they do it and when their tails get poofy when let into a new room to play.
