1. Where did you first learn about natural diets for ferrets? I learn about natural diets for ferrets on the internet, and talking to the other owners of the ferrets.
2. Please describe the type of diet you would like assistance in switching your ferret(s) to. Be sure to include if you are interested in feeding whole prey (live or frozen-thawed) and if you are wanting to FULLY switch to a natural diet or PARTIALLY. If you are unsure what kind of diet you want to put your ferrets on, please express that and we can help you find the best type of natural diet for your ferret. I am unsure what kind of diet would be best for him, beacuse he is very sensitive, specialy on the chicken, so I need help, but I belive that frankenpray would be first step to switch.
3. Why are you interested in switching your ferrets to a natural diet? To provide him happy and healty life, and I belive that with raw food he will be more healty and happy.
4. Do you understand that switching your ferret to a natural diet can be a lengthy, arduous process? Its not an overnight switch. It can be a commitment of several weeks or even months. Your HF Mentor will be more then happy to assist you in switchng your ferret(s) to a natural diet, but you need to be equally as commited. If you aren't willing to tough out a potentially lengthy switching process, or if you have major life changes approaching (baby on the way, moving, starting school, getting married/divorced, etc) then it might be a better idea to wait on switching your ferret's diet until you have more time. Are you willing to make the commitment? Oh I know that will take some time, I am on the proccess of switching and beacuse of that I really need help, beacuse I don`t want to do something wrong, and I have so many questions...My ferret is stubborn but I am even more and I will do what ever it takes to switch him completly to raw.
5. How many ferrets do you currently have? What are their names? Ages? Genders? Do they have any health problems? Are they overweight? Underweight? How long have you had each ferret for? I have one ferret, his name is Freddy, he is 2,5 year old. He`s weight is 1,75kg. Health problem - adrenal, he has implant.
6. What diet do you currently feed your ferrets? (Please include all treats, supplements, etc) Do they already eat some form of soup? I feed him last 7 days with minced lamb/rabbit where i put some warm water and pumpkin oil, liver, dehidrated beef/rabbit, rabbit hearts.
7. Have you ever tried to switch your ferrets to a natural diet in the past? If yes, what happened? Yes, first it was chicken about several months ago, and he throw up.
8. What additional information about yourself or your ferrets would you like to share? He don`t want to play a lot any more, he is awake like max 2 hours a day, and at that time he is just lying down like he is bored, he is not used to other people except me, beacuse no one of my family or my friends wanted to play with him when he was litlle.I live with my parents and he is not allowed to go any where in the house, he can be only in my room.
9. How often during the week do you have access to a computer? Almost every day, I could go to the internet with my phone.
10. Please post a picture of each of your ferrets (if possible).
11. Have you met the requirements for this program? Are you at least 18 years of age? I am 29.
Do you have your scale, a place to access meats, hearts, livers, etc? Yes
