Well, it seems like it is two steps forward and one step back with him. He is regaining weight slowly. He has days where is he pretty lethargic and other days where he is more active, but still spends a lot of his "running" time low to the ground. war dancing is out of his energy range.
So far all the tests have come back negative. Stool sample came out negative but he had already been on antibiotics for a few days. There are more tests the vet wants to do, but my husband lost his job and doesn't start his new job until the second, so we are flat broke for the two weeks. We are taking him back in first paycheck.
He has a healthy appetite, how ever over the last few days he has been vomiting. He will eat, and then start retching and then spit up some food. It IS NOT projectile vomiting like Gilly had with her blockage. It is more like he is gagging stuff back up.
It usually happens after he eats so I am wondering if he is over eating. He still eats a ton, but isn't gaining much weight.
Here is a list of whats going on.
*Slow weight gain after a large weight loss.
*Huge appetite and I do mean huge. He eats more than the others combined. However, he is being more picky about what he eats. I am having to make organ soup. Never had that problem with him before.
*Negative blood and fecal tests.
*Lethargy that varies from day to day. Not as extreme as it was, but still far from normal.
*Normal looking poos if not a bit large.
*Vomiting after eating, small amounts and gags and retches first.

How old is Gerri? When did all this start?
I'm wondering if little Gerri may have Lymphoma. Blood tests *can* indicate but not always. Lethargy, weight loss, etc fit. (Correct me if im wrong) but over eating can be nutrients not being fully absorbed, so he may need more.
What medicines has he been on?

Gerri is approx 8 months if the people at petco can be believed. Yeah, The vet says she hasn't ruled lymphoma out. I just refuse to accept it with out looking at everything curable first.
He has been on steroid via shot. Batryil and another medication, another antibiotic given orally at the vet, I didn't get the name.
This started back in December,I think, but it was super gradual until one weekended. At first i thought maybe he was just playing less because he was growing up, and the weight loss was losing winter weight or excess weight from gaining so much when we switched to raw. I kept questioning, but he didn't seem ill, just less active than normal. Then he got real sick. He hasn't been as sick as that first weekned, but he has far from recovered.

Considering the costs that you're putting out in tests...I'd be really tempted to do an xray. This might provide some answers (especially of the gastro intestinal tract). Lymphoma cannot be diagnosed with blood work (there are clues but not conclusive tests). There is a reason why way back when that vets would do diagnostics on ferrets by cutting them open * Does he vomit every time he eats? or just occasionally? What happens when you sit him on your lap and feed him at the table (let him sit on your lap and eat elevated)? ciao

Did the steroid shot help? I would be tempted to start him on Prednisolone. The lowest dose for his weight for about 14 days and see how he is. Pred is dirt cheap and it can't really hurt. I'd also get him on some Carafate (Sucralfate) to coat his tummy so the Pred doesn't make anything worse if he has GI issues. Pred is treatment for Lymphoma amongst many other things.
I know it's hard to think of something like Lymphoma, but going untreated is 1000x worse. Especially Juvenile Lymphoma. And it very well may not be that, but with it in the picture you need to make sure. My experience with undiagnosed, untreated lymphoma was waking up one day to my sweet boy bleeding from his nose and bottom and mouth, probably in a lot of pain, and it was too late. We did tests and vet visits before but didn't think of Lymphoma. With medicine you can give more time and comfort, I really do hope that isn't it though.
