Really not sure how to describe this one at all the nearest I can think of it sounds like the noise otters make. I found a very close match on you tube:
I have never heard him make this noise before, So far today it's happened a few times, I was in the bath and Percy gets the run of the living room hall way and bathroom, He has come running into the bathroom while I'm in the bath pulled my flannel off the side of the bath as if it was his/his right to do so then proceeded to make this noise.
he made the noise again while I was in the bath while exploring my dressing gown which was on the floor.
Just now I've opened the living room window and the wind is blowing through the window blowing the net curtain about, Percy of course thinks this is a new toy, he is trying to catch the curtain, some of his toys are underneath along with a blue Ikea bag, he has dived into the ikea bag and made this noise again!
Am I right in assuming this is a "happy" noise?
It's amazing how you can see so many animals in the little things, there back legs when walking remind me of polar bears. brown bears, otthers when he moves things under his belly ad lies on his back playing with a snail shell, Pandas some times his colourings look like that of a panda and when he lies on his back also, I'm sure there are many more I just can't think, Yes I'm a massive David Attenbrough fan!

This is probably a stupid question, but do you know what dooking is? Because it sounds an awful lot like that. If you do, how is it different from dooking? And if you don't... congratulations, you have a very happy and excited ferret The sound on my computer isn't working right now [ETA], but if you search for "dooking ferret" on youtube, you'll find plenty of examples. [ETA] stopped working, I did hear the baby otter

That baby otter is dooking. Ferrets dook, when they're happy, angry and into trouble....depends on the level and intesity of the dooking. Hobs sound like that baby otter, when they're on the search for a jill or following the scent of a jill....a hob song. Radagast searches through my house talking like that, following the scent of the jills. His dooking becomes faster and more intense when he find the scent of his father or the B & E twins. An angry dook is faster, much more insistent. My jills have used it when hunting out another jill. Sherry has an awesome video of her sprite hunting another sprite and the sounds. A mother jill will call to her babies in a high trill dook which will result in the all the kits coming out of wherever they were playing and running to her. She will then use that same sound to move her little group from one room to the next. They all circle and follow her. She will also dook softly, barely a whisper to quiet the wee meepers so she can go out and get her dinner or go to the litter box. ciao

Previously he has made a sort of coughing noise, he has done this on several occasions, first time I heard it I thought he was choking like you do! He has just got all excited over a pigeon and made the couching noise amongst others as well as rolling about, dragging it around, I had to remind him its dead and way beyond this kiss of life stage!
As long as he is happy thats the main thing.
