No I didn't de gut them since there wasn't really much meat to them to begin with lol. They didn't really get to taste the body part of them besides chewing the outside, so I'm not sure if they would hate it or not.

Luckily the flood only came within about 3 miles of us. The only bad thing was the crazy traffic from highways being shut down.
I didn't get a new scale yet, but I have someone I can now borrow one from finally. It's a bigger one but I hope it can still be fairly accurate.
They are one more mouse each again, with slightly less reluctance this time.
They are both choosing to sleep under the covers of the bed when we come in due to the room being like 40 degrees with the door closed lol.

when you get the scale i'd like you to check their weights. do you see the change with their teeth yet? they should be cleaner by now that is great with mices! do you follow the sheme for alternative meals?

Finally got them to sit on the scale long enough.
Harry: 3 lbs 2 oz
Brooklyn: 2 lbs 1oz
I think Brooklyn is almost in a sunmer coat and may have her seasons mixed up as she was almost double the size a few months ago and eating more.
Harry seems to be slowly getting smaller but is still larger.
Ithey have each had about 2 more mice meals as well and it seems to get slightly easier each time. I tried one meal of it without salmon oil and they were still better with it but the salmon oil seems to make them stay there and eat it seems.
They are also both eating chicken necks again (about 1 inch pieces) on their own besides me having to put it in my hand first for them to take it-otherwise they just sniff and run away.

Teeth are definitely a bit better with more frequent finger brushing with the oxy-gel stuff.
The one thing I try and do is to massage the gums to make sure food doesn't get impacted there.

Also-the new course grinds from hare today are much more chunky and it has a ton of slivers. So on the old pheasant for example, it would be just mush, and the new one pretty much has chunks of fat and other slivers of meat in it forcing them to chew.
They have also been more receptive to heart pieces and will easily eat that on their own.
The one issue is that I seem to have to be with them or my hand in the food to get them to start eating, otherwise they won't touch it unless it is goose/pheasant / quail /duck
Chicken, rabbit, and goat , and turkey you have to work with them a bit to get them to eat it.

i just LOVE the fact that they are accepting the mouse well, finally! salmon oil is a great addition in their menu, especially in winter days when they have to put on their weights if they eat the bones, there's no need to brush their teeth anymore. bones will clean them and when they are chewing it's like massaging the gums. Brooklyn is a big girl! her weight is slightly bigger for a girl, don't worry can you write here their menu for the last week?

do you have access to any protein which you can buy in big piece of meat? just to see if they would eat bigger one. or when you are preparing your meals, take one piece and offer them.

Just noticed your post. Not sure why I didn't get an email notification.
So I did order actual 'slabs' of rabbit that are like a hand size or fist size per chunk to cut up, but I have not opened that bag yet due to not being out of the rabbit mince yet.
Other than that, the main more meaty meats I have would be quail, mice (adult furry and baby mice), pheasant is pretty meaty with usually a few pieces that are about half the length or your finger (piece of fat or meat)-same for goose.
Turkey is sometimes more silvery now. Duck is usually mince. Oh and they are back on chicken necks which they like. The actual chicken wings etc I have not gotten in awhile, but Cornish game hen wings and other parts of them worked decently before.
Also of note I got a 2lb bag of duck heart, 2 lb of chicken heart, and 2 lb of turkey heart. The turkey hearts you have to scruff Brooklyn sometimes for, and harry is somewhat receptive to them by himself with slivers mixed in the food.
We went to a rescue adoption event today and almost nabbed one boy who had a pink nose and white face/white chest, then black everywhere else but decided against it lol.

One that someone found as a stray running in a neighborhood right before it became freezing. The black white chest one:
