Hey guys. Just wondering if you take your fuzzballs with you to places like grocery stores etc, or just short walks ? What do you carry them in? I bought this small dog cross-shoulder bag but my ferts will not stay inside, they will try to climb out and so I can't take them with me anywhere but I'd love to. I'd love your suggestions about bags, or how you carry your ferts with you.

I take them places with me sometimes, I carry them in a Messenger bag type carrier.

Maybe some training is needed to get him used to being carried in the bag

@julesalot I bought a bag similar to yours, it even has a hook inside to connect a collar to it but my ferrets still won't stay inside. They will literally hand outside the bag and get strangled [sigh] racheld Yes if they don't get used to the bag, I guess I'll have to resort to using their carrier. unclejoe How would you go about training them?

I have many carrier/bag things for my ferrets, they are shown in a sticky under just the general ferret talk area. I use different ones for different things. Some are open but some can close completely. My currently most used closed one is the Marshalls front pack. Snuggly for them, lightweight and easy for me to check on them.

Try carrying them around with you in the house while you do chores and stuff. Get them used to the bag. Like harness training, it's best to get them used to it before they go out in the world.
