Are you sure he swallowed as much as you think? I hope he passes more and stops giving his momma mini heart attacks.
Poop Koda, poop!

The cord pieces aren't anywhere else. We both looked (and it wouldn't be like Koda to leave a tasty piece of rubber behind anyways). The cord is an old iPhone charger that has a FireWire cord too so it has 2 cords in one. The cords were the same length so I was able to measure the eaten vs non-eaten cord and see exactly how much he ate. I'm really hoping the rest was all in tiny pieces that I just mistook as litter bits or something. Over 14 hours and 5 poops later still only the one piece passed. BUT he is POOPING, and the poops are big, normal pumpkin poops so that is good. He wouldn't take more Vaso which is very unlike him but he was eating food all day. Gave them the eggs earlier and put liver in the cage for the night - nice slimy foods to keep stuff moving through. He is exhausted and lethargic and still retching but not vomiting, but all of that is to be expected after inducing vomiting. He won't feel too good for a few days at least. But he is eating and pooping. I put him to bed with Kenai. They were separated most of the day and separation is super stressful on them. They immediately curled up together in a sleep sack. They're tucked in for the night and now it's my turn. I'm exhausted and my brain isn't absorbing anything I try to study so it's bed time. Updates in the am. Night all and thanks for the support.

Am hoping that Koda is fine with giving you some big orange poops. Good thoughts to you all and may you all get some rest now.

So far so good. He is more alert and he is pooping and eating. He's still retching occasionally so I know his tummy hurts but he is definitely pooping and when I put him back in the cage so we could eat breakfast he ate some breakfast on his own. Now he is sleeping by my feet. If anything happens I'll pop in for an update but otherwise I HAVE to catch up on all of the studying I lost yesterday bc I have an exam tomorrow so I won't be on. @julesalot @poncesmom sorry guys, I'll check into the thread tomorrow.

We're fine and I'm so happy that Koda is okay. Big Hugs to Koda and Kenai, and I hope you manage to get some rest.

Don't even worry about us we got this The ferts are fine so don't stress, worry about YOURSELF and YOUR ferrets first. And yay for Koda! He'll be back to mischief in no time. I mean, he'll be back to himself in no time.

Just an update. Never did see the rest of the cord. Koda is doing better though. He's on pepsid and carafate to help protect and soothe his tummy while it heals from the peroxide and vomiting, and he is feeling much perkier.

I was wondering if there had been perforation (thank god no!!) if it would be worse on the way down or on the way up. I was just thinking of bleach in humans where inducing vomiting makes things worse. This isn't the slightest bit a criticism! Thinking about it, it would probably do more damage on the way down than on the way up, and the chances of the rubber covering falling off would probably increase as it goes through the digestive system. Ah, Koda. Someone needs to write a paper on him. I'm so glad this story had a happy ending. You & your partner have my sympathies, it must have been awful to go through that. Oh, and I hope your exam went well!

Thanks lol Yeah the wire would be more likely to come off and it's a much longer path through the other end with many opportunities to poke into the intestinal lining along the way. But coming up may be worse than going down, I can't say. My only thought at the moment was better to vomit and have a tummy ache a few days than surgery. The test surprisingly went really well considering I was sick all week and dealing with Koda all weekend - I passed so yay! One more down 3 to go...for this quarter. Thanks for the support It was certainly a very stressful week.

I'm so glad that things have worked out, both for you and Koda. Congratulations ....you can tell the wee brat there are better way of getting attention than consuming horrible things and making oneself sick. ciao
