I am going to discuss your crew with the other mentors and see what they think. Can you post a weekly menu of what they each eat so that they can review it all in one spot?

Okay menu... loosely followed, changes based on what meats we have.
Sadie..... about 4 ozs of mush a day (doesn't usually eat it all) Contains raw soup (lamb at moment, Heathers recipe)ground meats, and pumpkin, about 1/5 of the mix is pumpkin (both so she will eat it and it keeps her stools formed. She gets a mix of ground meats with bone, or ground meats with supplements (one or other). Supplements are tarine, bone meal, fish oil. She gets Liver mon/thurs, organs (usually spleen cause it's mushier) tues/ wed/friday.
Boys get mush in morning, has ground meats, pumpkin, and suppliments (fish oil/tarine only) They get liver/ organs on same days as sadie. Though they also eat whole quail, and chunks of kidney so getting other organs as well. In afternoon they get a bone in meat, they will eat chicken, turkey, quail, rabbit. I dont have exact weights for amount of food the boys are eating, the morning mush is about 6 ozs, but if they eat all the afternoon food I always put more in before bed. Usually there is some left over in the morning (which goes to the dogs LOL)
does that help?

Hmmm okay, now Neka is not back on bone yet, so I've been putting extra bone meal in the morning mush. He is getting chunks of the same meat Zeke is having in the evening. As mentioned the morning has soup/pumpkin/suppliments and ground meat and organ of that day.
mon am = ground turkey w liver pm = chicken wing tues am = ground duck pm kidney chunks, turkey neck wed am = ground chicken w spleen pm= rabbit thur am = ground turkey w liver pm= chicken thigh frid am = ground pork w spleen pm= turkey wing sat/sun = am ground beef pm = chicken hearts, dehydrated lung, chicken chunks (cause I work long hours every other weekend i save 'treats' for weekend lol)

And I gather the extra bone meal isn't causing any problems for anyone? I'm also going to assume the liver/organ in the morning meals are the appropriate amount, simply spread out instead of one full organ meal. As in, 2oz liver per ferret per week, as well as 2 oz of other organ per ferret per week? If so, it's looking good to me

no it's not alot of bone meal, about 1/4tsp a day between the two. I just wanted to be sure Neka was getting some till he's back eating bones again. No issue with stools for either. Neka's are still a little on the loose/mucus side even with the bone meal but he's also still on meds that can add to that (antibiotics) and they are coming around nicely. Yes the liver is split up it's 2 ozs per meal divided by 2 fuzz. between the kidney/spleen/and lung they get a bit more then 2oz each a week. more kidney then the others cause they will eat it in chunks. The spleen has to be added to ground and it's not their favourite meal LOL. the lung they would eat 24/7 if i let them LOL

Then thought to look back, and saw they get it only twice a week ;D ;D ;D I've messaged Heather, and she'll stop by tonight to go over it as well Then we can see about getting you "officially" graduated!

Congratulations. you've graduated and you're ready to walk this path alone, now. You have the foundation to help you feed your fuzzes in a more natural and healthy manner. Please remember that your learning never stops, and dietary needs change from ferret to ferret and throughout each their lives. I would also like you to be aware that though you now have the capability and the knowledge to create your little ones diets you are never alone and that your mentor (you need only pm) is always available to you. The list is also a very good resource and you should always be aware that it's available to answer any questions you may have either about diet or care. Good luck, in a few days I will lock down this thread but be aware that you can always look through it as a reference tool but you just will not be able to post to it. Your mentor will be in to congratulate you shortly ;D. ciao

Congratulations!!! You've done a great job I do hope you will continue to stay with us here, and help answer questions from others who've not yet completely switched to a fully raw diet, as you've got the knowledge you need to do so confidently
