@akane I don't really want to get into a debate about whether veganism is healthy or not on this post, however I feel I must respond to your comment. There is a lot of evidence to show that a plant based vegan diet is extremely healthy and humans can thrive on it. Obviously if I'm eating nothing but chips and veggie burgers all the time this isn't the case, but there's a lot of information out their contrary to what you've stated. This is a very good site for good information if you would like to read up about some of the health benefits... nutritionfacts.org/Like I said I'm not really up for getting into this age old argument, I just want you to be aware that what you've stated isn't actually correct. Thanks

The same guy came in yesterday and got more rats for his ball python. I'm not sure if he's power feeding it or what, but that's 4 rats in a few days. :S

Maybe he doesn't even have a snake but he buys them and keeps them as companions so they won't be live fed. I've considered it.

Sounds exactly like what someone who purchases feeder rats to be pets would say.

Most people just say, "hey I want these rats as pets." lol We at the pet store and feeder breeders don't care either way.

That's rather odd....really. I don't believe snakes eat that amount. Perhaps he has more than one?? ciao

He must have multiple snakes. A ball won't eat when it's not hungry like coulubrids do - in fact they are notorious for being VERY picky eaters and for refusing to eat for several Months at a time.

Thanks Beckie, it was just a casual thought, and I wasn't trying to start a debate. Awaiting Abyss, maybe the guy is just trying to meet you? I knew of a girl who kept breaking electronics at work, so she can meet the guy in the IT department, whom she had a crush on. Maybe this guy's "python" needs "live feed" every few days, so he "has to" go to the pet store and ask the clerk for "help." (giggle)
