Meet Siggy, Gyda & Rollo-Life with hybrids

After years of following Ann Barzda's ferrets, I finally decided to bring a pair of jills home.

Siggy born May 3rd Meera/Mr Sims

She is adorable & opinionated. She lets me know if things are not up to her standards with her teeth. Siggy is getting better & learning teeth=no fun


Gyda born May 7th Nikita/Mr Sims

She is the sweetest little one, a huge flirt & pretty perfect with her teeth for a kit.


While there I met a shy little hob who was having biting issues & not being an alpha he was being picked on by the other boys. After I left I just couldn't stop wondering how he was so I asked Ann. She said he had been depressed since I left & wasn't eating or playing much, so hubby picked him up for me.

Ahhh congrats! What lovely lil gals and guy! Was the little boy the last of the litter, is that why he was so sad?

No he was sad because I didn't take him home with me when I picked up the girls. Rollo really wanted to be my ferret but was too shy to compete with the girls for my attention.

Being babies my three hooligans are growing quickly. In general I have won the biting discussion but it still has to be reviewed now & again.

The babies are growing up fast. I've had to separate Rollo as he is now in rut. Funny I thought they'd all be very bothered by it but none of them did much. Siggy nipped me a few time but she is more angry about the lack of mice than Rollo. At the last weigh in Rollo was 3lb 15oz, Gyda 2lb 1oz and Siggy 2lb 4oz.
