So I recently rescued 3-week-old kittens from a patient in our office. She found them abandoned and was unable to keep them. She had them vet checked and was told they had an upper respiratory infection and given an oral antibiotic but not sent home with anything as the vet said one dose was enough. They were also given a de-wormer. One has an eye infection so she was given drops to treat all three kittens just to be safe, but vet said likely no big deal.
I called a local vet and he said he didn't see any risk to me taking them as he thought the ferret would be fine. (My ferret is about 11 weeks old now.) But I just wanted a second opinion on that? For now they are separated.
I did find a few fleas on them which is giving me a panic attack. I despise fleas and I once rescued kittens that led to such a bad flea infestation I had to bomb my apartment. I just couldn't get rid of them. So I am going to find out what I can do to get rid of these ASAP. What can I do to keep them from getting on Izzy?

I would keep them quarantined until you know theyre healthy and the fleas are gone. If you start noticing them biting you or anything like that then diatomaceous earth is good, but you have to be careful not to let the animals breath it in. Its not toxic, but can cause physical damage to their lungs. Did the vet say how to get the fleas off? I dont know much about cats so I'm not sure if they can be bathed or what.

Quarantine til all issues are fully resolved. Period.

They are separated. I just wanted to make sure that was enough. I don't know how contagious it is. I will not be putting them together for a while anyways. They seem to have had a traumatic few days so I'm a little worried about stressing them out anyways. The kittens have the bathroom and Princess Izzy gets everything else
