Love the feeding den No, I'm not trying to get rid of you ;D ;D I really think you know more than you think you do I think that you should feed your muscle meat in the am and bone in the pm. I had another switching student who did just that, her guys loved it and it kept them from getting slimy stools. You will have to watch closely that they don't get constipated. I would try and feed more than just chicken and beef....remember 3 proteins. Your mix was fine before, it was there wasn't enough bone. So what you could do is Monday am pork muscle meat....pm chicken wings Tuesday am organ day.......chicken parts Wednesday am beef muscle ......some type of boned meat Ok? You've covered the necessities regarding your protein mixes...venison, pork, chicken, turkey....I only wanted you to increase your bone content. If you change your diet so that your little ones are getting bone every evening then you've covered the bone content. Write it up that way and we will see what you've got. So, some type of muscle meat in the am and some type of boned meat in the pm ciao

I have to redo the menu anyway since I started them last night. ^.^ Lets see if I can't get this right. Sun- Pm: I fed chicken wings, and Deer meat. Mon- Am: They have a total of 8oz of deer, and 12 of chicken from last night so going to let them finish that meal. pm: Pork. (only Heart Organ) Tue- Am: Beef Ground- ( Best Organ mix ) Pm: Chicken Parts (backs, ribs, etc) Wen- Am: Pork. Pm: Chicken Parts Thur- Am: Pork. Pm: chicken wing/parts depending on if I get my 10lb of wings wen. Fri- Am: Beef Pm: Chicken parts + a few peices of goose. Can you tell I ran out of deer? Sat- Am: Beef Pm: Chicken parts ( Bag with the turkey neck inside ) Sun: Am Pork Pm Chicken wings or parts. Is quail separate from chicken? like considered a 4th ingredient. I am thinking of getting a set of two every month for at least a toss up on their meals. One whole quail every two weeks. what other bone meats are their? OH! I have goose wings and legs in the freezer. Let me change something.

Quail is indeed a different protein. Oh, by the way...heart is a muscle meat not an organ...sorry Liver, spleen, brain = organs That's looking good...you're getting there. I like it. What's in your organ mix? -- Tues am says best organ mix...what's in your mix? ciao

That's ok, liver is good so is kidney so you've got your organ meats. Heart is necessary for the taurine. I feed heart two or three times a week. The liver or kidneys only once a week and they also get some in their commercial grinds because it's already in it Sounds like they're eating well ciao

Hey Hey, I just wanted to update you that my schedule planning has gone ary. My food hasn't been exactly on goal but instead I started writting down the following guidelines: 9 Ferrets. Bone: 4 days of bone = 7lbs 8oz A week Organ: 1 day organ = 1lb 14 oz Spread out among the days. Meat: 2 day of meat = 3lbs 12 oz 3 times a week at 1lb 3oz Which also means that in a 4 week period I need at least this amount in my freezer. Bone- 30 lbs of Bone Organ: 6lbs 8 oz of Organ Meats Meat: 15 lbs of Meat ....Knew those math classes would come in handy. I Started out with- 7 lbs of Beef Ground. 7 lbs of Pork Ground. 5lbs of Chicken on Bone 1lb 6 oz of Chicken Wings, Turkey Necks, & Hearts 8 oz of Deer 12oz of Frozen Chicken Wings And than roughly 1 lb of chicken liver mixed into the Pork Mixes & Kidney. I USED- 8/8 Deer 12/12 Chicken Wings 1/7 Pork 1/5 Chicken On Bone 1/7 Beef & Heart 6oz/1.6 of my secondary chicken meals I also have 10-15 bags of Soup which makes 2-3 months worth if used one-twice a week. Oh And I bought two whole chickens which gave me 4 lbs each + 2 hearts 2 gizzards and 2 livers split onto all 8 piles of chicken parts. I don't even want to do the math to see how much I'm short. But I have like 14 lbs/15lbs needed for meat, Haft of the Bone, and Good on Organ so far. ----------------------------------------------------- Update on the list: I've done 5.4/7.8 Bone 1lb/3.12 meat 1/1.14 organ So tomorrow I'll give them a bag of Chicken leg, wing, back, breast, etc for breakfast, or Meat depending on if breakfast ground is finished.

Ok...tell you what. You write up what you've fed this week. All I need to know, is what you fed in the on that day in the am and then the pm. Don't worry about amounts, just tell me "what" you fed each day. So it would look something like this: Monday: am --- pork Pm---chicken wings Tuesday: am---pork livers Pm---quail and so on. It doesn't need to be complicated. I just need to know if what you're feeding..ok? Good luck ciao

Congratulations...you and your little ones have graduated . Please be aware that you can always pm me or you can make use of the list as whole to ask any further diet questions that you may have. It's been a long journey but you've had a large and often transient business to switch. I will leave your thread open for a couple of days, allowing you to post any immediate questions or statements you may have, after that time I will lock up your thread and put it in the archives. At any time you can go in there and review your thread you just cannot post to it once it's there. Good luck, have fun and give all the furbrats a big snuggle from me ( special hug to Dingo too) ciao
