Oh Please let me graduate!! lol Group A: 3 oz Lou Ripply Dakota Pixie Tulia Swiper Wheezy Group B: 4 oz Jack Dingo- give or take depending on his mood. He eats mostly mush now days. Bear Taz Dirt Heres what I have been doing the past 1-2 weeks. I have been giving them beef, deer, chicken, pork, and some fish. I wanted to test out how much money I would have to spend bi-weekly on food for the entire group. So. Week 1. 3/1/11 Mon-> 3 chicken wings, 2 large drum sticks, 2 large chicken breasts, and 4 peices of heart chopped up. Everything was missing by the morning. I did find bits of bone in a tunnel. Tue-> Some Beef Step parts cut into decent sized peices, about 1/2 lb, and than about a lb of beef mush includding egg powder, liver, and ground chuck. Some beef jerky was found the next day..lol Get it? beef jerky. Wen-> Lots of Deef meat. Taz is a cow when it comes to deer. He sat at the bowl and just huffed. It ended up being a good 1lb, 6 oz's of straight muscle meat that day. A few peices left. Thinking Dingo didn't want it. Thur-> Back too a chicken diet. It ended up being chicken liver ground chicken mush with a few wings for bone. Dingo really liked it when I made him some soup. He wasn't feeling good so it's been touch and go with the subject. Fri-> Rest of Chicken ground, & Beef. I was parting between now and sat due to birthday. Sat-> Deer ground with chicken liver & hearts. It was prepped thur so I could get drunk and not worry about prepairing food. Sun-> Chicken chunks with wings for tazz & drum sticks. Mon-> Rare day of cheap fish!!!!! I got a lb 1/2 to test it out and they gobbled it up like it was crack. Tue-> PORK. I got pork that day and gave them basicaly a shishkabob of pork, beef, and chicken wings on my rings. No organ today. Wen-> They had organ soup for dingo, some pumpkin for shedding, and deer chunks. Thur-> Don't remember todays meal. I think I defrosted just bits of chicken, and beef. It was a odd day with school, work, and that non-sense. Fri-> CHICKEN over load. Room mate made chicken for dinner and gave me the fatty scraps. Pluss, I cut a few peices up, and tossed in some fat drumm legs. Sat-> Pork chops with bone even though they just gnawed on it. Simba ate the rest of it in the end. And a chicken organ mush. Sun-> Steak with porks on my meat rings. YUMMY! i recoment these kind of things for your weasels. It gives them a fun job of tugging away the meat. Mon-> Organ soup, and some chicken chunks. And I've been doing this in 1lb 1/2 kind of dossages for the kids still. My kibble intake has gone done BIG time but it's still out for the kids who might be a little picky at their food. I'm going to be taking away their kibble pretty soon just not yet due to the show. Possible after the show or at the start of april!! They also get random foods: Mice/Rats, Sea food when they go on sale, and I saw lamb legs for reallly cheap. I might even get some quail if it's for cheap.

Has this been a good ratio of organ? I can really only get beef chicken liver, and chicken heart. Plus chicken bones etc.
Let me know if I should adjust it or not.

Now, I'm not sure so just correct me if I'm wrong. Your guys need more bone. You've got a good mix of proteins, you serve organ meats about once a week (it's ok that you can only use beef and chicken livers and hearts) I think there are a lot of others who are in that position too. You might try some kidneys too as a change of organ meats. I don't know if your guys will eat it. Some of my guys aren't too impressed with it. Basically you need 4 days of bone and 3 days of meat with one of those days having organs. That way your guys can get their bone content which is really important. Good luck, have fun at the show ciao

Hey Hey!
Friday I left the ferrets feeding to my roomie and fixed the ratio for those three days.
Friday- They had chicken breast with the ribs, 6 oz, Four chicken legs, 4 oz. And, 5-6 oz's of soup. Sat- I was tired so they had 1 1/2 lbs of deer meat chopped finely. Dingo didn't eat it and went for the kibble. Sun- I found a chicken leg from Fridays dinner. Today I started splitting the meals. Am & Pm. Bonie meals at night since they are more night creatures.
Am- Rest of my pork chops. They gnaw on the bones only. About 8 oz's. Pm- Picked up the bones and added 3 oz of organ, beef mush. Mostly liver with ground beef.
Question: How much egg should I give? I was thinking of 1 per day split by the entire 12.
oh! Totall cost: 1 10lb bag of chicken wings- $10 1 Whole chicken- $6 1 container of hearts- $2 1 beef liver package-$2 3 6 lb beef packages- $14-16. Forgot how much they go for at cosco 2 4 lb Pork chop assortments- $12-13 6 something a piece.
In the end it was like a 40-50 dolor bill and I'm still working on most of the meat.

I'm thinking that 1 egg divided between the 12 should be ok. You shouldn't give more than 2 or 3 eggs for the week/per ferret, but when you split it up over the whole week between the 12 of them it should be ok. Looking good. ciao

Week 1. 3/1/11 Here, try this...I took your menu and changed it a bit (in the red) to make it healthier for your guys so that they will get more bone (which they need) See if this is a doable solution. You're giving too much muscle meat and not enough calcium. They can have some serious issues if their mineral needs aren't met. If you have any questions let me knowl See if you can get this diet to work. Basically what you want to do is do every other day as a boned meat. So in a 2 week period you should have about 8 or 9 days of boned meats, and 2 days of organ meats and the rest muscle meats. ciao Mon-> 3 chicken wings, 2 large drum sticks, 2 large chicken breasts, and 4 peices of heart chopped up. Get rid of the breasts, instead give 8 wings, 3 legs
Tue-> Some Beef Step parts cut into decent sized peices, about 1/2 lb, and than about a lb of beef mush includding egg powder, liver, and ground chuck. give deer meat here insteadWen-> Lots of Deer meat. It ended up being a good 1lb, 6 oz's of straight muscle meat that day. A few peices left. Give bone on this day instead- chicken wings/legs/backsThur-> Back too a chicken diet. It ended up being chicken liver ground chicken mush with a few wings for bone. Fri-> Rest of Chicken ground, & Beef. Sat-> Deer ground with chicken liver & hearts. Give bone with this meal as well Sun-> Chicken chunks with wings for tazz & drum sticks. Get rid of chunks, give just bone in*********************************************** Mon-> Rare day of cheap fish!!!!! I got a lb 1/2 to test it out Tue-> PORK. I got pork that day and gave them basicaly a shishkabob of pork, beef, and chicken wings on my rings. Wen-> They had organ soup for dingo, some pumpkin for shedding, and deer chunks. Move deer chunks to Thurs. Give bone in meal insteadThur-> Don't remember todays meal. I think I defrosted just bits of chicken, and beef. Give deer here insteadFri-> chicken fatty scraps. Pluss, I cut a few peices up, and tossed in some fat drumm legs. Get rid of chunks- give bone in instead
Sat-> Pork And a chicken organ mush. Sun-> Steak with porks on my meat rings. Give one bone in meal here

Hey again. I'll finish the menu now. Yesterday just was a long process to get everything weighed and packaged. Plus I had to clean & go feed the horses afterward. A Basic Week Menu: Your not trying to get rid of me are you? Starting Mon I am going to split the group in haft. No kibble for the guys that eat raw happily. And the two + Dingo will be sharing a cage while I work on tough love. Wheezy & Dirt have been VERY stubborn. And Dingo has to have kibble. He has lost ALL of his muscle mass and is just a rack of bones at the moment. 3/28- Mon- Organ Day Since 9 are being fed raw ( without kibble ), I am going to do 1lb 12 oz inclements. Am- 1/2 of dosage Ground Pork with (1 1/2 lb of heart + 1/2 lb of Liver To 4.5lb of Pork Ratio. ) Pm- Other 1/2 Ground Pork. 3/29- Tue- Bone Day Pm Chicken Wings- Each wing is roughly 1 once. Am Chicken Meat- I need to get some breast. 3/30- Wen- Bone Day Am Bag Of Chicken Parts. ( Whole chicken peices smashed/cut into 2-3 once sections. Includes- Chicken Back, Ribs, Legs, Wings.) Pm Chicken Wings. 3/31- Thur- Meat Day AM Ground Beef ( 1 1/2 lb of heart ground with 5.5 lbs of beef) Pm Rest Of Ground Beef Bag 4/1- Fri- Bone Day Am Chicken Wings Pm Chicken Wings 4/2- Sat- Bone Day Am Chicken Parts Pm Chicken Wings 4/2- Sun- Meat Day Am Beef Bag w/th Heart Pm Beef Bag w/th Heart My only question is that is it alright that the ferrets get so much chicken? And get bone two days in a row? I'm thinking of doing Bone in the Pm. And chicken meat in the morning. Gives their teeth a moments rest. Or rotating bone between other meats. I have 3 off days that I can use between the 4. Feeding Den-
