I am a bit on the slower side so I need stuff to actually be explained to me..
I am getting 2 ferrets soon and I don't understand exactly what meats to prepare or where to get them...
It'd also be nice if any of you guys could do something like "Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. I would understand more.
I also need to know how I am suppose to mix them, how much of each to put in and everything.
I just want to get it right.

With so many specific questions, you'd be good to sign up with the mentoring problem, when you reach your minimum post requirement that way, someone can help you through your full switch, and help you modify and adjust a raw diet until its perfect for you and your ferrets Here is a link to my weekly menu though, just to give you a basic idea: holisticferret60.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=meat&action=display&thread=10563But each ferret I different, and will need and want different things

mikaylamason, I looked at yours I love how you made it so clear but dried egg shell? Wouldn't that be bad for them? I know some people just give the raw egg but never heard about dried egg shell. I did read on and notice you added that for the laziness to eat the bones.
And the organ defining helped me allot too. I think for the most part I am going to stick with your meals Mikaylamason but I might switch some stuff up lol

Also what kind of pumpkin and where would we get it? I noticed you added it for like all of the days so I am assuming it is very important.

As my ferrets are really young, they don't have the full jaw strength to eat whole bones. So, if I notice they're not eating enough bone (runny poops are a sign) I mix in dried eggshell or bonemeal. Dried eggshells are just empty eggshell that are washed thoroughly, left to dry, then ground to a powder. The bonemeal is ground dried bones. It replaces the calcium they'd be missing if they aren't consuming bones properly
Pumpkin helps with digestion. Ferrets shouldn't get large quantities of it, but I just prefer to give very tiny amounts of it mixed into to each meal, instead of giving a tspn straight. Also, here they're shedding, so I need it to help push the hair through
I just roast butternut pumpkin from the shops, then freeze it in cubes, and defrost as needed. If you're in America, I've read that you can get canned pumpkin??

I was going to ask if that was canned pumpkin lol! Yeah I can get that But some stuff on your menu I'd have no clue where to get so I may just stick with the turkey legs, wings same with the chicken, I would also do the pork chunks, beef chunks, liver/kidneys/hearts maybe the lamb chunks too but no to the ox tail and kangaroo.

Also if I haven't said mines ages yet they'll be a year and a half and 6-7 months so I think they'd be okay with the bones thing. I noticed that yours were young in the pictures So cute!

When you get pumpkin, make certain it's pure pumpkin, not the pie filling.

Be prepared for your ferrets not wanting to switch. I was blessed with being able to switch my ferrets fully within a week, as they were only 2 months old when I got them. Many other ferrets are reluctant to try new things, and this increases with age
I actually moved kidney to the Thursday, in place of the kangaroo. I prefer to spread the organs out to avoid super tarry black poops that always seem to miss the litter box -.-

They might already be on the raw diet. I never asked their current owner. I will be asking their current owner when we go get them.
