Bonker's Chip-in can be accessed here. She has a blockage and due to the deposit (which we will get back what they do not use), we are completely broke. Since we lost Booth only three months ago, we never recovered from the $700 bill we got during his last month So if you can help us, please do. Even $5 is so much more than we could ever expect. I will be editing the entries soon for some cool ways to motivate you! I will be adding prizes for examples - $50+ receives cookies (within US only, out of US I will come up with something else!), thank you cards, personalized gift packs, etc. Check out my blog for a collage of pictures of the sick wee one here.

I'll see what the pay check looks like on Friday but I think next Friday will be the soonest I can do anything as we are drowning in our own vet bills.

I'll see what the pay check looks like on Friday but I think next Friday will be the soonest I can do anything as we are drowning in our own vet bills. That's quite all right. I definitely understand. Don't feel obligated, but if you are able to give even just a couple dollars, that is so much more than we have right now! Thank you to everyone who has donated and to those who want to but cannot. We have all ready collected almost $100, which was beyond our expectations. So thank you. Knowing at least one of the xrays has been paid for is amazing! Tiny bit less stressful now.

Any update on her condition? Is she still at the emergency vets. I can hopefully donate a little on Friday. I just had 3000 in vet bills myself for dean and Fiona.

In case I forget to update here, there are updates on the chip-in site, as well as updates in the original thread here. She is still at the vet but doing well. She might get to come home in a couple hours. However, I'm going to call soon to see if they did or will do another xray to see if the solid mass is gone yet. They have not found anything in her stools yet. So if they want to send her home, but she still has the mass....not sure how I feel about that considering I don't want her getting backed up just so I can turn around and take her back. It's a 45 minute drive one way!!! - to the actual vet, not the emergency clinic. But for now she is doing well. Assistant tech put a bowl of food in this morning and Bonkers almost ate the whole thing! So the tech had to take it away and wait to make sure she didn't get blocked. She gave another nice healthy stool, so the tech return the food My poor baby was starving! lol

Sorry for the double post UPDATE: Called the vet. Basically they think since getting her hydrated is letting her eat and poop, they think she will be able to pass it on her own. They think there is still something in her stomach, but it is likely when she ate whatever it is, it made her feel 'yucky' which caused her to stop eating and/or drinking, which led to the blockage. So they think since she has been hydrated (and I will have to keep her hydrated until we see something pass) that she shouldnt get backed up again. However, if she does, then we will do surgery. But they don't feel she will be in danger if they send her home considering I am aware and can watch her closely for changes. So she is still doing very well right now and will be coming home with me tonight! We will have her separated from the others, except during play time so we can keep an eye on her stools, eating, and drinking. They did not do another xray today because they did one again last night (I think 3 or 4 total from yesterday) and she looked like she had been doing so much better. Still a bit of gas, but it had cleared up around 90%. So, if I keep her hydrated, it will pass on it's own - that's the plan. I THINK they will do an x-ray mid-week to see if the solid object is still there, unless I see it in her poo here at home.

She is home and eating and had a small poop (not real thin, but thinner than normal). However, I know they had been limiting her with food at the vet. We will see how she does this evening. Gave us metamucil(sp) to sprinkle on her food once a day to help keep things moving. She is eating a bit differently though :/ Sounds almost like when she was grinding her teeth right before she threw up...Hoping it's just she isn't used to eating so maybe that will go away. Bill was $300 but that is what I had expected. Did blood work and will get that back in 1-2 weeks. Just routine stuff given her age. Umm she also keeps backing up, just like she did when I tried to give her some ferret lax and then she started heaving and threw up. Any ideas why she is doing this? Jeff was looking at her through the cage door, she would stare back a second, then back up into the shirt I put in there until we clean bedding tonight. Then she would sit there a moment, then repeat.

Did the mass ever move with any of the xrays? and is it in her actual stomach or intestines? I don't think I would have felt very comfortable taking her home if it wasnt moving. The backing up seems like she feels the need to go..
