this is a picture of our now deceased ferret Lemmy. he passed away at 8 years of age. my husband sent this picture in to the magazine. Lemmy won the photo contest and the pic was published in the march/april 2008 ferrets magazine (which, ironically was the last magazine every to be in print--i think they only publish it in print once a year now.) as you can imagine, Lemmy's head got really BIG after he won this award and he went around telling everyone that he was "famous" and a hollywood movie star, demanding special treatment, etc. our "famous" Lemmy was so kind that he donated his $100 award to the local ferret shelter. we still miss him and love him VERY VERY much. it is nice to know that we have nice memories likes this of him. may he rest in peace.

He is a beautiful fuzzy! How wonderful to have a way to remember him by. He is definitely a superstar in my book D.I.P Lemmy

thanks. he was very special to us. ironically, when this photo was taken, lemmy had been diagnosed with adrenal disease the year prior and had lost all of the hair on his tail. at the time this pic was taken, he was being treated with melatonin implants only. no lupron, des, etc. look at how beautiful thick and shiny his tail was! i get sad when i think of him because the longer you have them the more attached you get. btw, Sonny sleeps exactly the same way (and on the same blanket). such brats.

not too shabby for an old marshalls ferret with adrenal disease, a broken fang and a blue toe tattoo (if you look closely you can see the faded tattoo on his right foot 3rd toe).

I am so sorry -- he looks like a luau fuzz, just waiting for the next slice of pork and a mai-tai

What gorgeous memories of a beautiful boy. He is still very much alive through the photos and the memories that you have of him. Our furbabies never really leave us, they just walk with us in a different way. ciao
