Hey Boots, I'm in Vermont also. We currently don't have a ferret rescue and most of our shelters rarely get ferrets. You should check Craigslist, I've checked it recently and there were a few on there needing homes. One a 6 month old female that doesn't bite. And if you do get a ferret and they happen to not be the animal for you, contact me. But before you get one, please read everything you can about them. They're not like a cat or dog. More demanding, higher vet bills, more energy from you, ect.

Very good explanations as to the differences between farm vs. breeder ferret dispositions!! I too would like to have a breeder ferret one day...my MF girls are great and they are different from each other. My Sammie has always been sweet. My Stevie has always been 'a little bit more'...she is sweet...but she has a bit of a 'tude...although she is much better these days than when I first brought her home. I am pretty sure that ferrets will always be part of my life...I'm just sorry I waited this long to get to know them Sent from my Xoom using proboards

Hey Guys, Sorry I haven't been on in awhile. I been a little busier than normal. Just started a new job that has better pay. I am still hoping to get a ferret, but i know currently that is out of the question due to the fact I am currently living with the inlaws and they don't like pets. I am hoping for us to have our own place soon so I can get a pair of ferrets. I still would like to get an albino ferret. I am making more money at the new job so i will be able to better afford a ferret when the time comes that i can have one. I have been reading through the posts this morning also. Thank You,

Not a problem! Stick around, keep asking questions, and use this time to save up for an emergency fund.
