She has been eating and drinking great back to being an active as ever. The night it happened she bit me for the first time.. latched on to my arm and wouldn't let go after her episode. I have been discussing about changing their food because i think she is low weight.. i wish i knew how old she really is so i could evaluate her better. My mother is a vet tech and said she is still a baby judging by the teeth but its hard to get a proper age. Her cage mate is around 11/2 and he is much bigger all around. I will be sure to stick around its so warm and friendly here!!

Can you get a picture of her teeth....we only need a good shot of those canines. Make sure that is she has a broken tooth that the photo is of the unbroken or least damaged tooth (it can skew the reading) ciao

Not bad...the reflection makes it difficult....look at the clarity at the tip of the tooth. That's how you tell. I'm seeing it (I think) about 1/3 rd up. Which would make her about 3/4....but the reflection from the camera makes it difficult to tell for sure...Sherry? ciao

Let me head over to that part of the forum. I was told luna was between 4 and 6 months. Ash just reaching a year. I contacted the girl i bought them from and she said they went to the vet around 2 months ago and everything is upto date. I payed $100 us dollars for the pair.. included full bag of kibble, cage and all toys. They were in a cage full of poo and she was using some kind of rodent bedding for them.today marks 2 weeks i have had them. Fully litter box trained now but it is very appert that they

Sorry premature post lol.. they have been in a cage most if their lives because they do not dook and though they are playful they are very standoffish and sleep alot. They seem to have been treated like caged rodents. I can't get them to engage in activity much with me while they are out of cage. I am a stay at home mom so i have alot of time to work with them. I had to trim their nails when i brought them home and the fleas were horrible. 2 ferrets in a one story cage as well. Ash is a very nice size. But luna is quite small and nips alot but we have gotten that to settle some.

Unfortunately, lying or misrepresentation of age is fairly common. I picked up a trio, 2 jibs and a sprite. Supposedly they were all under 2 yrs old, with the youngest being 9 months. I didn't care, I just wanted to get them out of the place they were at. When I got them home, I aged them. The youngest was 2 the oldest 5. I just picked up a rescue that my vet got stuck with. They told her he was too old to treat and to put him down, that he was at least 8 yrs old. Luckily, for Azrael, my vet felt there was something wrong. He was sick but was treatable....he is only between 2 and 3. Sometimes, people don't get their timelines right, memory is a fickle thing but a lot of people mislead others because they're afraid that they won't be able to get rid of a ferret that is older. ciao

Also, it may take a few months to get them properly interacting with you, especially if they've been caged much. Even the fosters we got from the rescue took a few months, and they'd been pretty much free roam at the last foster mom's place. They had to get comfortable with US first.
