My vet can "smell" adrenal. And to date, she's seldom ever wrong on it. She told me it almost smells like a singed sweat sock sort of smell. I'm guessing kind of like their usual scent, combined with a slightly burned smell. And just the fact she can smell it on mine(raw fed), as compared to the kibble fed ferrets she normally sees, tells me there really is something to it. She's not been wrong with mine, either. Oh- and she sniffs them between the shoulder blades, if that makes any difference to you

So should I tell James to light a sock on fire after work to compare? He stinks, but I can't put my finger on exactly what like, but he's always been like that. Well he'll see the vet in a month anyways, and I'll see what she thinks. Like I said, he's always seemed "off" to me, but I've taken the wait and see approach thinking whatever will get worse and more obvious, but we've had him 2 years now.

Well I clicked over two the old HF forum and realized we've had Craven and Koda for 3 years, not 2. So they are all a year older than I thought. It's kind of interesting reading back through all those horrible health threads I'd posted there, you remember and feel all that stress all over again, but I'd wrote and kept track of things on there I didn't even remember now. Like I guess we'd started Pip on Lupron last May, so effective a little under a year at the lowest dosage and he's still going very strong. And Craven started showing signs last Sept. and while he's lean and slightly hairless, not bad for no treatment since we tried the Lupron for the first 3 months.
