I'm not trying to incite anything here, I'm just a neutral observer, but clarify things there was a statement in her other thread indirectly/passive aggressively accusing her of being a BYB. (at least that's what it may have seemed like. Written word is never reliable because it can never express true emotion or intent and can easily cause misunderstandings)
They were as follows... "I'd have to disagree with allowing a jill to have 4 litters, as I don't know of any reputable breeders who would allow a jill to have more than 3 litters at most. The whole idea of responsible breeding is to produce kits who are better than their parents, not to breed just to have kits to sell."
"It may be common in Australia to breed them for more than 2-3 litters, but that certainly shows a lack of concern for the jill, IMO. I would question the ethics and knowledge of any breeder who thought that was an acceptable practise"
I'm just stating my observation of what was already said in a previous post. I don't plan to join in the debate/discussion or anything. Just thought a little clarification of what was stated and on why she might be defensive at the moment.
I'll go back to not being involved in these particular discussions because I prefer to remain neutral.

Sheila, I am aware of 20 years of Tanks bloodlines but what I am saying is I dont have a crystal ball and I do not know what may or may not happen with a kit until it grows and develops. Of course I was aware of his bloodlines and genetics but I cannot put Tank over the top of Badger and say "They are going to have 12 kits, 4 are going to die, 1 is going to an albino and the remaining being dew" That is absolutely impossible for ANYONE to know or guess. Simpe as that. So of course when I stated "Of course I wouldn't know if Tanks dew lines are going to cause any problems because this is his first litter. Sometimes its a matter of trial and error" it was simply because I am not physic I do not know if every single kit is going to survive and what colour they will be etc. I can make knowledgable assumptions based on his genetics and bloodlines but I am never going to know 100% what is going to come out of a litter and promise they will all survive and be 100% healthy because this is his first litter. No one can promise that every kit they bred will be 100% healthy until the day it dies of old age because anything is possible.
Thanks Sherry, I will take on any advice I feel that I can use and ignore the remaining rude ignorant comments that continue to prop up. As I have said, there is a way of delivering affective advice and I feel that some people on here lack the experience on how to do that.

Also, like I have stated numerous times, I am only onto my 3rd year of breeding and I am by far still learning so please if you have some posative feedback or advice for me that you know how to deliver in a nice way then I will be happy to read it, comment and take on that advice. When people jump down my throat and make assumptions about me and my ferrets, that is when i become defensive, like anybody would.

FYI keep in mind champagnes will have the dark eyes and look all white in the body at this age....I personally have never seen a true born DEW, only light silvers that roan out to a DEW in a year or so. I stopped breeding my silver male I had many, many years ago (even though I truly LOVED that boy!) as the litters the first year with him came out with too many problems , mostly neural crest. Interestingly, one of his only surviving kits (jill) was an albino and lived until 10 years old when ECE basically took her from issues with her intestinal tract that she was never able to overcome. This was a long time ago.
