Goomba drank an entire bowl of soup by himself this afternoon, and at least half of another bowl. Pippin has been chugging it too, but all of the sudden Ellie is being picky with it. She hasn't stopped drinking it, I just have to convince her it's fine. They've eaten so much today, I already need to make more soup. I'm going to take kibble out of it completely, this time.

Yay! That is good progress. Let me know how it goes with the new soup batch.

They've already drank 4 cubes of soup, and Goomba drank one all by himself, without adding any dry kibble =O I'm going to buy some more hearts and get lunch, then make a new batch and see what they think of it this evening. I have a few more cubes to kill off for their lunch

The new soup is really pink compared to the old ones. Maybe because there's no kibble and lots of skin? It's kind of weird. Unfortunately Daniel accidentally poured all the strained water into the blender, so it's a bit soupy. It does have some chunks of chicken in it though. Ellie immediately tried it, and even stashed the chunks Hopefully she goes back and eats them....Goomba wouldn't touch it until I gave in and mixed some kibble so it smelled sort of familiar. Pippin won't touch it at all. We had to scruff and stuff with the syringe and he still won't touch it after adding kibble, I'm using the last cube of the last batch and mixing it with the new stuff now...hopefully he will eat some of it. Goomba has been very active today, and he's eating a lot. Could it be what the vet said, that maybe his BG was fluctuating from the change in diet but not due to insulinoma? He's also doing this weird thing with his face, I'm going to take a video of it. It might just be his reaction face to the soup though...it's not pretty. At least he's eating it, though. And without me having to stick a syringe in his mouth!

Hahaha that's a pretty classic nose wrinkle! ;D It means he likes it! ) Ferrets often crinkle their noses and squint their eyes shut when eating. It usually means they're enjoying themselves. If I remember correctly I read somewhere that it may be an adaptive behavior to keep blood out of their eyes/noses when eating prey in the wild... I could be wrong though. Anyways, it's totally normal behavior, so no worries.

Is that weird mouth shiver he's doing normal too? He's the only one who does that

Already at 12 cubes today and still 2 feeds left. I'm having major litterbox problems. It's like close is now close enough. They're pooping on the carpet, I'm assuming it's the boys judging by the pairs of stains They're not backing all the way into the corners of the litterboxes, and once the newspaper on the outskirts of it are wet they won't use it. So I'm getting poops and pees right on the edge, and then poop all over the tile and now they've moved in two feet onto the carpet as well

Sorry, I know I've posted a million times today. I am just feeling totally overwhelmed. On top of potty seeping into the grout and carpet, the room is starting to smell like rotting chicken. I'm guessing they aren't eating their stashes. I'm just frustrated.

Hey sorry. I haven't been feeling well today. Breathe. You are doing Great. 3) First things first, meat stashes. Clean the room out really well and find their stash spots. They'll tend to find a few new ones here and there but having an idea of where their main default stashes are is good. Koda for example always stashes a piece of meat under the shelf cover, and Kenai likes to hide his in a corner of the too level. When things begin to get smelly, I know where to check for a meat escapee. A little vinegar water will he'll remove the smell if you need to clean any surfaces. Are you feeding them in the feeding den? Next feeding time sit with them if you can and when one runs off with a piece of meat tk stash, redirect them to the feeding den. How thick and how chunky is the soup? Still with kibble for smell or kibble free? They are going to eat a lot for a while whole their bodies play catch up, that's normal. The potty outrage sounds like a temper tantrum to me. Your schedule changed as have theirs. Go tk the potty training bolt camp under enrichment for that. I'll try to post more tomorrow morning but my head might explode if I don't close my eyes.

The soup I made today is thicker, I guess like a puree . It's somewhere between guacamole and cake batter.I added water the first time though, so the consistency would be familiar in case the taste was different. I had to add kibble for Goomba to put his nose near it, but the other two took to it well. I switched from the ceramic food bowl in that video to a longer, oval-shaped pyrex dish. The three of them could barely fir in the old one and Pippin and Goomba both move their heads around the bowl a lot, which just made it harder for them to eat. I moved the food bowl into the cage since Goomba puts his paws in the new bowl and tracks it across the carpet. I'll set the feeding den back up and see if it helps with the stashing. As for poops, I'll have to check out the boot camp thing. The problem is just that I'm never home when it happens.
