Before switch: Snax: Ditta: After switch: Snax: Ditta: Before the switch, they had rough hair and we're fed purine cat chow. I knew the food was bad so I switched them to DFS then when considering switching them to the best brand, I found raw. I signed up for the mentoring program. Since the raw diet switch they have both gained 500+ grams! and there hair is so soft. Since the switch they were a dark top coat with a white undercoat, now there almost fully yellow on the bottom hairs amd a greyish yellow on the top coat, and very soft. Ditta isn't as nippy as when she was when they were on kibble. There teeth are sparkly white now.

Wow all ferrets have Such a HUGE difference in their coats. What a difference raw diet can make. Can't wait to get Rico started and see the change in him

The difference in coat was painfully obvious when we brought home our 2nd, who had had nothing but kibble, and compared him to our raw and whole fed Pippin. Merry's coat felt thin and coarse compared with Pippin's. Merry made the switch in the space of a few days and by the time we relaxed his quarantine and let them share a cage they were eating the same thing. I have never had any doubt this is the right thing for my furboys, but the comparison on that first day added to the weight of evidence supporting feeding our babies what they are really meant to eat. The first picture is Merry, the day I got him, before the switch. The other shows (L to R) Pippin after about 4 months on whole prey/frankenprey, and Merry after about 2 1/2 weeks.

I know many of you have seen Rufus's before and after on Facebook. It is so drastic. My sables have nicer coats and smells now (which don't show up well on my iPhone camera), but they don't appear all that different. Rufus, however, is a totally different ferret. He was kibble fed for his entire life (almost 4 years) before I adopted him from the rescue, and after a short time on Raw, he was a totally different little dude. I don't think I need to tell you which picture is which.

This thread is too amazing. If anyone ever needed convincing about raw feeding, I think this would do it! The changes are just miraculous - so beautiful and fluffy!

Before After i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q677/leadfootangela/005_zps502b940a.jpg [/IMG][/URL[/a]][/p]
I got Sophia from Petco and she was on Marshall crap. I think I saved her before they could do anything to her cuz she is healthy as a horse! Right away I switched her to Zupreem because the rescue I was tentatively trying to work with to get one worshipped it. Turned out that had a high pea content and causes bladder stones. I stumbled upon Holistic accidently when I was, I believe ordering her kibble. I started reading up on it for probably 2 weeks before I bit the bullet and switched her. I was totally surprised at how easy the transition was. She took it right away. A couple days of eating it off my finger than a spoon! Sophia eats more and is fuller longer as of 9/16/14! She is 2.4pounds right now hopefully she will weigh a little bit more Thursday. Her coat is so soft and shiny that I am becoming obsessed with running my fingers thru it! She is awake longer 4 1/2 hrs today! YAY! Alot less tension on me cuz I was worried about her. She is also more active! I am going to sleep better tonight!
