Name of ferret(s): punk and belle Age(s) of ferret(s): punk turning 2 in october belle turning 5? in september Color of ferret(s): punk is cinnamon ish, belle is dew Any known medical problems?: none Current food your ferret(s) are eating: raw When was the date of your ferret's last a.) rabies shot b.) distemper shot? not 100% sure. i know punk has not gotten any, other then the babies series, and belle a couple of years ago How is your ferret(s) around: a.) cats b.) dogs c.) children. they're good with cats, like to play with them, not sure about dogs, and i believe that would be okay with children Does/do your ferret(s) have biting issues? other then when playing no. Is/are your ferret(s) litter box trained? In the cage? Outside the cage? inside cage Why are you rehoming your ferret(s)? i have no time right now, and i have 'out grown' them in sorts. i just have no time and money right now to afford them, and my parents are really not liking to take care of them. What is your adoption fee? 300$ if you want all of their things, 50$ for gas(depending on distance but i think this is a good amount) and the raw food i will give you, because i don't really want organs and stuff.
What does your adoption fee include (shots, food, cage, etc) everything. two cages, a ferret nation 142, a bedding set from LFFR, tons of blankets and toys, and the rest of the raw food i have in my freezer. Are you willing to drive to a potential adopter's home, or is the ferret(s) for pick-up only? depends on the distance. but i should be able to drive a few hours.
i would like them to remain on raw food, is the only thing, as well as if you have a reason you do not want them anymore/cannot afford or whatever reason, i would like them back. please email me at katrina_mulder@hotmail.com

I know you're asking $300 and that includes their stuff, but a lot of people already have those things. Would you be willing to lower your adoption fee (some just can't afford to spend $300 on a set of ferrets when they have vet bills to pay for).
You can always sell the cage and ferret stuff separately.

Oh. my friend Patrick Ruffo lives near you and feeds raw. He has 8 ferrets. Excellent excellent ferrent. I vouch for him 100%. But not sure that he will pay that kind of rehoming fee.

His house is spotless. He even has an infrared camera pointed to his ferrets cages and a monitor in his room so he can keep an eye on them. Like even in the DARK he can see what they are doing. Lol. I love that guy.

If Patrick can take them, I'd entirely waive the adoption fee and instead sell the stuff.

Sherry you know Patrick. He is a very VERY good ferrent. if i know that i could find someone like him to take care of my ferrets, i would feel great. Very few people like him in this world.

Agreed Miami! That's why I suggested waiving the rehoming fee for him.

unfortunately, he just took into two ferrets recently. so he is maxed out with his 8 ferrets already. I'm sorry if i got your hopes up. maybe you can find a shelter near you that will take them in? a shelter will not feed them raw though. they usually only feed kibbles. i do hope that you can find them a good forever home.
I know what it is like to be young with ferrets. i went through high school, college and law school owning ferrets! it was tough. sometimes they did not always get the attention that they required as i was often gone for 12 hours a day (esp in law school). i would come home, eat , study and pass out!
but they got me through tough times as well. I could not imagine my life without them. they were with me throughout every phase, every struggle, boyfriends, breakups, moving out, marriage. my little furry friends were my constant companions.

i would talk to your veterinarian and ask him /her whether they know of any responsible ferret owners that you can re-home them to. vets can usually help with that. even if you have to give them to a person that feeds kibble, if you have to bite the bullet, it is better for them to go to a GOOD loving home I think.

i would lower the cost if someone was just willing to take my babies, or waive it entirely. and i would sell there things, but i would like them to have their favourite toys to take to their new home. i'd really would like it if someone from here could take them, as i know you guys are all great, and already feed raw. i can't even imagine not having them anymore, but right now im not in the situation to be able to have them, and my parents are getting fed up with having to pay for their food and what not, and they just brought it up yesterday, and i have a horse who will come first for me. as bad as that sounds, i went into buying him, knowing i would have to pay for him, and now my parents are saying i have to take care of the ferrets and i just can't afford that ontop of my horse bills

i am willing to drive a few hours to meet someone to let them go to a good home. that's all i require, is that they get a good home, and that they preferably be feed raw, or a very high kibble quality. there is raw food left, not a lot, but enough to last a month or more maybe. um, there is organs, mostly pork or beef. chicken, maybe some duck, and a container of rabbit meat, fish and maybe turkey. i haven't encountered anything they won't eat. i don't know about whole prey. i tried it with belle, she's not a hunter, but i do believe she did try a mouse. maybe. not sure. i also went through their things and there are 3 harness, one normal sized, and the other two are for fatties, 2 collars, some shirts , lots of tubes, tons of toys, some octopus things where they crawl in, and a wooden house thing. and some other things not listed i really don;t want to have to resort to posting on kijiji or craigslist. so if you know someone, that would be VERY VERY helpful.

okay. if the reason that you want to give these animals up is because you cannot afford food, these are TWO ferrets. you can buy a bag of kibble for them that is semi decent quality and stop feeding them raw if this is what is expensive! as long as they have a GOOD home, then at the end of the day, it does not really matter whether they are eating raw versus kibble.
bottom line, it is not easy to re-home ferrets. i think you may want too much here. you want to find them a home bc you cannot afford their food, but you want them to go to a raw feeder (hard to find)
what breaks my heart is that you would rather spend money on your horse than your ferrets. which makes me feel very sad for your ferrets. i felt like crying when i read that your horse comes first. who did you have first? the ferrets or the horse? I do not know how old you are, I am guessing you are young because your parents are helping you financially, but please do not get any more animals. animals are a life time commitment. and it is very hard to re-home ferrets. they are often abused. ferrets are often "purchased" on craigslist for a low price (or "free to good home) and they are fed to SNAKES.
if it is their raw diet that has your wallet hurting, you can switch those ferrets to kibble and be done with it.
