Oh I have suffered at night for many years. I have worn earplugs for years. during the night my ferret steps all over me (he steps on my head) then goes into my pillow case and starts to dig, he gets under the covers and digs at my legs. we have to mummify ourselves and wrap the blankets around us like burritos. sometimes he has to sleep in the middle of the bed so I have very little space and I have to sleep contorted (can't disturb the king while he sleeps). Sometimes he'll sleep right up against me because he wants to steal my warmth. Sometimes he sleeps on my chest. It's like sleeping with a fur stole (I live in Florida). nothing better than waking up to ferret kisses though.

Haha, I tried sleeping with my Pixie once (when she was an only ferret). I woke up with a ferret "present" (read: poop) in my hair. Never again....

Worst I've ever found was meat inside my pillow case . Well- other than Lucrezia's protest poop ;D But that was while I wasn't in bed, at least ;D

I forgave her because she was a baby and didn't know my head wasn't a good potty. But I definitely learned my lesson. Ferrets sleep in ferret room.

Ive had adam and bear sleep in bed with me before. My bed was low to the ground and had a shoe rack at the bottom that they used to climb up. The worst was when he'd come back to bed and felt the need to climb on me after digging in the water dish! Both ferrets would sleep on the half of the bed i didnt and would wake up to run to the bathroom to use the litterbox. The bathroom was straight off the foot of the bed like 5 steps. Baby on the other hand I would never EVER let sleep on the bed. When out of the cage she runs straight to my room and climbs up there and has pooped on it. Shes afraid of heights too. I had to learn the hard way to keep my door closed when they're out

Unfortunately both of my little ones are still.. well.. very little. I'm afraid of letting them out at night because my littlest one, Trinity, is a cord biter. I've sprayed down all the cords in my room with bitter apple spray, but it doesn't appear to last long. A day, max, and she's right back at it. Not only am I afraid of her electrocuting herself, but it would not be fun to wake up to my computer cables chewed through! I tried putting a thicker blanket over their cage last night, and it was a horror scene when I woke up and removed the blanket. It was a poop-ocalypse! They went everywhere, all over the shelves, their bed, behind the bed, even their water dish. I couldn't believe 2 little ferrets were capable of making such a mess. They were curled up in a little ball in the one safe zone in the cage. I have one of those crummy super pet cages, too, so I had to completely dismantle EVERYTHING and soak it in the tub. Needless to say.. I don't think I'll be trying the blanket trick again, lol. When I originally went cage shopping, I had a FN 142 picked out, but the silly girl at the pet shop convinced me to buy the cheaper superpet cage because she said her 2 ferrets loved it. At the time I only had one ferret so I figured, why not? I knew I should have gotten the nicer FN cage, though. Not sure when I'll be able to afford one now, which is a huge bummer, because this superpet cage is driving me nuts!
