They are soo cute! I love Percy's little face! And Oliva had such striking markings!
You babies are adorable - good luck on introductions! Getting some rescue remedy might help relax them while you introduce them.

Olivia is one of the calmest ferrets I've ever met. She will actually sit in your arms when you pick her up I'm used to Percy.. who is basically a bouncy-ball on speed. @ tinytippytoes - It's actually a tiny round dot. I'd die if it were a heart ;D @sherry - The thought crossed my mind since she's a marked sable, but she responds to squeak toys and kissey noises I make at her. Do deaf ferrets love plastic bags as much as hearing ones do? She goes nuts for those. But I am trying to pay attention until I know for sure. She's not too vocal aside from the occasional hiss at our dog jackie - Thank you for the suggestion. Do you know where I could get it from? And any tips on using it?

What gorgeous little ones. What stunning markings on your little girl and what a sweet face on Percy. I particularly love the one with him standing on his back legs in his cage...the look says it all...Mom how could you leave me in here like this ;D RR rescue remedy can be bought just about anywhere. Health food stores, bulk stores, even pet shops carry it. Most vet offices also carry the Bach products. Instructions are on the bottle. You can use directly by dabbing on ears, nose or soles of their feet. You can also add it to their drinking water ciao

One good way to find out. Run a vacuum cleaner beside the cage when they are sleeping ;D My hearing ferrets want to know what's going on almost immediately. My deaf ferrets look to the others first for a clue what's happening. If they wake up at all! But if she comes running when you squeak a toy, odds are she's not.

Yeah, squeaky toys are a good indicator. My girls are always interested in the vacuum cleaner

How adorable!!
When I introduce a new ferret, first thing I do is give everybody a bath. Neutralizes odors and seems to cut down on territorial attitudes that can make the newbie unwelcome, at least in my experience. I clean the cage and bedding well. Then everybody gets set down in a small room so they are encouraged to smell each other without being confined in the cage. Usually a newbie only gets moderate attention this way and is soon absorbed in like nothing, unless there are personality issues. Whenever I pick a new ferret I always try to get one I know will blend in well with my group.

They are so beautiful. Percy is a innocent looking little sweetie, and Olivia is a beautiful little lady who looks like she could cause some trouble!

Hmm I'm starting to think she is deaf.. I tried the vacuum trick and she def did not wake up. She's really starting to settle into our apartment though.. getting into all kinds of trouble Her and Percy will meet for the first time this weekend. My mom is bringing him to visit for the weekend and they won't see each other again until prob the middle of April. I figure if they don't click right away I'll have plenty of time to devise a few tricks to turn them into best buds. Any advice for intros knowing that she is deaf?
