ARGH my girls are driving me crazy! The one has always been a bit of a .... poop eater. We've tried lots of things including changing her diet. Before being on raw they were on grain free. Now since getting the ferts she has figured I've brought the delicacy indoors for her! However not only does she eat the poop she's eating the LITTER!!! We use Swheat scoop litter, and guess it really is sweet I'm not sure which is doing what, but pretty sure it's both of them. Was looking at switching litters, did not like yesterdays news for the tracking yuck. Not sure if worlds best would be any different as it's made from corn. If put lids on the litters the ferts wont use them, they will go beside

Have you tried using a largish tub, hole cut in, tube fitted in hole, and litter box inside? That way, they don't have the same "feel" as the lidded litter boxes, and the dogs couldn't get to the "goodies"!

I was going to suggest the same thing. Large rubbermaid containers with a ferret sized hole cut in the side. That I what I have to keep the dogs and the cats out of the ferret litterbox.

That is my suggestion too. There is a reason why the term "kitty crunchies" was invented....the only difference is you've got "fuzzy crunchies" Don't feel bad. Ferrets and cats are both true carnivores, their digestive tract even shorter than the dog's. Much of their stool is unprocessed food...unfortunately a delicacy to dogs. Are your dogs raw fed? ciao

Yes Heather the dogs are raw fed.
Hmm going to have to figure out how to fit this in. THere are 3 litters outside the cage that the dogs can get to, however they are not big due to lack of space where they are. The location for them was choosen by the ferts LOL.

It's not definite, but it is possible, that they'll prefer the tub idea, especially if a tube is involved ;D

My dogs eat cat poop and ferret poop.. its yukky =/ Best way I found to stop it is rubbermaid containers with a hole cut in the lid for cats and one with holes in the side for ferrets.
Doesnt stop them from eating any accidents =/ or cat puke for that matter.. *gags*
