Okay, thread is unlocked as the OP has assured me that she is just trying to provide the info on the greens. I really would start with eliminating one food at a time from your mix first to see if that solves the problem. Start by taking out the Evo since a number of people have a problem with that, and Proctor and Gamble(who now own the company) are well known for downgrading any products used in whatever pet food they own.

Why the helk does P&G do that? It's not like they don't have the income to make high quality foods

I added a tiny bit of the spirulina to there water...they wouldn't try it by itself. It tastes absolutely horrible...

Some ferrets like it on it's own. My guys get it in their ground mix and soupy. To further the spirulina...ferrets cannot process it at all. It has no use to them. Most true carnivores cannot process plant nutrients even protein dense ones. This is one time that your little green plants can't do any good is with your ferrets ciao

If you go with the pumpkin make sure you buy the pure kind, not the pie filling... It worked wonders for us. As of P&G...it's all financial. If they use cheap ingredients they make even more money. Multi companies do not care about your pets well fare... Only money...

As for the pumpkin, try adding a wee bit of whatever oil supplement they get now(mine love fish oil), blend well and warm it slightly. You may have to dab a bit on the end of their noses to get them to taste it.

Lol eeek they aren't getting a fish supplement, what brand and type of that should I get and how would I grind up the egg shell properly? But isn't natura all about the health of pets why would they sell out to P&G ? Makes no sense

Again- money and greed. As for the oil, personally I use Grizzly Salmon Oil. I also use a human supplement of triple marine fish oil. For eggshell powder, I rinse and dry the shells for a day or two, then use a clean coffee grinder. Others use a mortar and pestle. However- if you are feeding kibble it won't help as eggshell powder is used to replace the bone they'd get in a raw diet during the switch to a natural diet, prior to eating the actual bone, and/or in a weekly soup
