Basically, they should get about 10% organ in a week. This is about 1.5 meals - that should be half liver, and half kidney. One thing you could do is feed 1 meal of 1/2 liver and 1/2 kidney. Then change one of the heart meals to 1/2 heart, and 1/4 liver, and 1/4 kidney. I wouldn't focus too much on oz, just feed as much as they'd normally eat in a single meal.
I hope that makes sense.

This morning I portioned out the Turkey necks and Duck wings into 4 oz portions. The necks were cut up but not crushed up but I still managed to portion them properly and the duck wings were a breeze to portion. In each bowl, they got 1/2 oz of duck wing just roughly chopped and 1 oz of turkey neck. The turkey necks were really really tough for me. I tried to crush them with a meat tenderizer but it didn't work out so I went to the garage, really sanitized my hammer and used that. It worked like a charm! The turkey neck bones were VERY hard... I must say that the pork tail and back bones are actually softer than these ones! Once I gave them their breakfast, they were very excited. I can tell their jaws are getting stronger and they are more persistent on eating the bones! I love that they're eating raw. I can also see how much their coats have improved and that they are gaining healthy weight. I love my little ferrets

I went back and edited the menu for this week I will try hammering the Pork RMB for tomorrow with the pork tail since I truly believe that the turkey neck bones were just as hard as the pork bones! I hope my two will enjoy their meal, god knows my face took a beating from the lid on the feeding den LOL... I now have a huge red gash across my nose!

soooo.... I feel very dumb right now. I can't believe I thought I could break the pork bones! ;D There was NO way that way going to happen! What I did do though is cut all the meat off the bone (not much) and gave that to them for now and I guess today I will just feed them 3 or 4 small meals! As for their fur it is so amazingly soft! Pippa is changing color I wanted her to stay a nice point but she is getting these almost steel blue stripes at the top of her head that makes her look like shes getting a blaze! The color against the white itself is beautiful though, I'm telling you it's steel blue ! Pandora is a little food monster so I'm very happy they are progressing! I know they will get big and strong

What I did do though is cut all the meat off the bone (not much) and gave that to them for now and I guess today I will just feed them 3 or 4 small meals! Don't feel bad - I've done it too. They are rock solid. OH she sounds sooo pretty Pandora is a little food monster so I'm very happy they are progressing! I know they will get big and strong Aw that's great! They will be graduated in no time. Sorry If my replies are late and not so detailed. This week in really hectic (final today, 8 page paper due Friday, thesis pages due today) so I'm just super busy. I'll be finished by the end of the week though

Alright Jackie, here goes nothing. It's Pork kidney and liver day SO I have decided I'm going to put (in each bowl of course) .9 oz of liver and .9 oz of kidney and .2 oz of pork meat layered with a sprinkle of freeze dried I know you said not to focus on oz but I'm an insanely precise person and if I don't know exactly how much they eat, it drives me NUTS lol!! I weigh their food while I'm making it and then after I make it to make sure their bowls and portions are very even.... It even bothers me when I see them switch bowls (those little buggers!!) We are back at home now, so they're caged and I can definitely see their energy in this situation. I've also got an insane sore throat to deal with and I THINK it is due to dust since I cleaned my vacuum filters out yesterday and cigarettes since my mother and sister are chain smokers, great.... I will update how the fuzz took to the liver later.

Last night I realized that I ran out of turkey wing, so today I subbed in duck wing instead. I swear next time I go shopping for ferret meat, I am spending like $60 right there so I don't have to go for a while! I have my organs and my hearts taken care of for a while but not bone in meat! This morning I simply quartered each bone with meat in the duck wing and they LOVED chomping down on it! Pandora was even more keen on it than Pippa. They're so cute when they're eating meat, definitely very into what they're doing at the moment. It looks like they're able to take larger chunks now! Can you eventually just work your way up to feeding a whole wing? or do they need help with hammering bones? So far so good, can't wait to weigh them tomorrow!

Awesome!
As for how big they'll take the bone, they will likely be able to take it whole. Kind of depends on your ferrets preference, but seems like theyre loving the bone!

They definitely are! I snapped some pictures of them and it looks like Pandora is getting some shape! As for Pippa I was never worried, she has been larger since I've had her. I'm hoping to see some muscle development on her though! That is Pandora. That is Pippa. And here they are both enjoying their tone! They're both looking amazing! Feeding them raw is the most satisfying decision I have EVER made!!

I just gave them their duck wing and pork but instead I only cut the duck wing in half. Hopefully I can expect good results in the morning! They seemed interested so fingers crossed!! Tomorrow is beef heart and turkey neck day!

Jackie, I'm sorry I hadn't posted in a few days. I am very sick still and have a VERY busy week ahead of me as I am moving back in with my mother and sister for the long haul, taking some last minute driving courses and switching my entire life around so please excuse me if my posts are not as detailed.
As for the raw feeding, I gave them some Pork Heart and Duck Wing today, they seemed very interested in it I suppose I will see how they take it tomorrow morning. They're getting better with bigger chunks as I have mentioned. I feel bad I will not get to shadow them with crazy attention this week, it's good that they're there for me as much as I am for them!
