Good luck henrika, my girls are in an entirely different room and they still wake me up sometimes at night. I really have no idea how people who have their fuzzies in their bedroom stay sane (mind you we are ferrants so our sanity is already in question ;D). If you post what time you are going I'll head out to Etobicoke for the same time.

Well, I've talked to my mom and she has convinced me not to adopt this little boy. She wants me to take the two five year old cats instead, as they are not doing well at home currently. Combination of not enough attention, and territory stress with the older cats so this will be better for everyone long term. Plus they are destroying the house with their marking etc. so they need to come live with me instead. It's probably for the best, and it sounds like this boy should have no trouble getting adopted - he sounds like he would be blast to own My mom wants me to take them sooner rather than later, so I will be extremely busy moving and getting the new unit ready for Rolo, Junebug, and Jellybean. My mom wants them flown over a week or two before August 1st, so I don't know, but that may end up being the weekend we fly them over.... She needs to clean the house as we have relatives coming over to stay for awhile.

just a note to let anyone know. we have 2 beautiful amazing ferrets, live on a farm, they run loose for many hrs. a day, plus we have an outdoor playground, complete with a split level house for them. we are always open to taking on a new 'ray of sunshine' or 2.

So is anyone from the forum going? I was thinking about it but it looks like my time on Saturday may be more limited than I though. If no one else is going then I may skip this one.

I don't think I'm going anymore either as much as I want to - I am working the afternoon, and honestly I barely have any time off I need it to continue working on my room (just finished building my MASSIVE wardrobe!!!!) so that Rolo can be free run in it. I'm also just really enjoying spending time with Rolo, especially since we've been away from each other so long.

BTW I thought I'd mention that although Guelph University has closed their avian and reptile exotic service, they will still accept appointments for ferrets as they are classified as small mammals. I figured that this might be important info for those of us in the GTA area.

Hello Everyone, In conversing with a volunteer at the Ferret Aid Shelter in Missisauga, Ontario about another thread of mine (http://holisticferret60.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=talk&action=display&thread=8172) . It has come to my attention that they are currently unable to bring in any new ferrets due to the fact that they are currently full and are very short on funds currently. In fact all needed vet visits are on hold until they can get more donations. They just had an Adoptathon last Saturday and will be holding another one next Month. They hopefully have placed 2 or 3 of their ferrets from last Saturdays event but they are still in need of assistance. If you are in the GTA area and were planning to add another fuzzbut to your family I'd suggest giving them a call. If you know of someone who is considering a ferret in the GTA area please direct them to the shelter. Also, if anyone can spare some cash you can donate on their site: ferretaid.org/v4/BTW: I am not affiliated with Ferret Aid in any way other than that is where I adopted my girls
