Updates? How is the menu working with the heavier bone? Or did you have to do that?

Sorry, been without a computer this past week =P They actually seem to be doing just fine with the menu as it is. All the stools are firm and looking good! Their energy is just off the wall! So glad to see them so happy and healthy

Okay! In that case I'll get Heather to take a look at it, and we'll see about getting you graduated

Heather pointed something out I'd missed ;D is there any way you can get another protein in the menu? Or have you been able to do that? To get them eating another you may have to mix a little bit in with what they are accepting of. Possibilities are Cornish hen or goat as well.

I actually found Cornish hen the other day and they loved it! So that's in the mix now too

Okay- one more time then ;D If you could rewrite the formal menu including whatever new they are eating that would be fantastic!

And just so you are aware? Heart is a muscle meat- not an organ So that gives up 6 heavy bone meals, 2 light bone meals, One organ meal, and 5 muscle meals. Given that they seem to do well on the lower bone level it looks ok! Just keep a close eye out for softer, looser stools as well as splintering nails. Those are signs of not getting enough calcium in their diet. If that happens, you can either substitute one of the chicken breast days for a neck, a quail, or even just sprinkle 1/2 tsp eggshell powder on one of the muscle meal days, or even with the organs.

Oh, duh! I feel so silly I'll keep an eye out for what you mentioned....so far they seem to be doing excellent! I may be phasing out one of the chicken breast meals as it is in favor of the necks- Dexter has decided he's going to be picky now that he has access to more exotic things like quail ;D He looks at me like, is this it?? Goof!
