I just cannot believe it! Some of you will remember me posting about Archie, the 'micro' ferret that I rescued from a silly man who wasn't looking after him properly. You will remember that he had a bad chest and was having inhalers twice a day but apart from that he was a happy little chap. I have just been out to give them their tea and noticed that he was missing when they all ran out of their bedding area to see me. I opened up the bedding area and there he was, all curled up. I thought he was just sleeping at first but he wasn't, he has died Poor little man, I just can't understand it. He was fine this morning when I gave them their breakfast, running around and dooking like he normally does. He must have had an underlying problem that we didn't know about- I'm thinking a heart condition linked to his bad chest, I don't know. Does anyone have any ideas?

Aww I'm so sorry to hear that. DIP little man. At least if he was all curled up as if asleep it means he went peacefully.

I am so sorry. DIP Archie. You will be missed. Can the vet do an necropsy? I know it's so difficult to make that kind of decision In the midst of this...

I'm so sorry. I had heard (no proof) that a few micros had heart and organ issues. Considering the use of puffers and difficulties he was already suffering perhaps this was indeed the issue. Take heart your little boy does not wander this road alone. He travels in good company. There are a few who are playing and making merry along this road. Around his neck hangs his heart key. Your love and gentle caring gave him that. I will light his travelling candle to guide him on his journey. Tonight a new star shines brightly in the sky, tonight another little one has learned to fly. Grieve not for your wee one, he is forever with you. You need only look to your heart. Gentle journey little one ciao
