Thanks Heather and you too! Posted before I did! You may be right that she's trouble, or just giving you that stare of cuteness cuz she knows it~!!! ;D, I too adore hobs! I don't even think they are that stinky! It is all about how you clean a cage and not do it all at once. Yes, smellier than unaltered but no not horrible. I still owe pics! Time flew by today I will ship to approved homes. I feel very comfortable and I really feel it IS safe unattended. No different if you have experienced shipping anything else, per regulated temps on an airline of my choosing per area. Of course I would rather meet someone, but why would I limit myself to not shipping, if I felt in my heart, they would be good homes based upon the entire picture, references and adoption process So to answer that, yes. To the right home, I am not ashamed to be upfront and do it and guarantee they will be perfectly fine. I'd make sure they were of an appropriate age and all their vetting done and those basic steps, but I do not see why not. I do offer shipping as an alternative, I do provide an extended guarantee of health, I do have a strict adoption process, but it shouldn't be any bad at all if its the right home to do and approve, I do approve of DES in lieu of altering BUT I have a policy they must be 6 months before altering because of adrenal issues. Hope that helps? I also guarantee my pedigree is true and accurate. I think that was a pretty thorough policy synopsis LOL! I didn't have top go that deep into it, but I understand some don't ship. I will, but dont think I wont come find you In Canada to enforce that contract. it is iron clad. No questions asked in the event there needed to be a return. It'd be unfortunate for both, but that is how it would be. I am a new breeder, I hear you when it comes to finding no one that will ship. Not all of us can go and meet up, honestly, if it is far, I'd much rather those funds be put for an emergency vet fund than a costly travel just to meet. With technology these days, we can work around it and that is my option and my opinion to get to know someone. I think times are changing, and if you limit yourself to not shipping, which I am unsure why? it is safe, but I guess personal options, I will make sure I have all paperwork filed beforehand and choose the earliest flight because in Canada, one would want to make sure the receiving end's vet is on-duty to release the kit and any officials that clear the kit to you, does so quickly right at the time of arrival. Careful planning and there would be no extra hesitation for me flying myself with ferret or not. It will be the same. I feel confident doing so, planning it accordingly and safely. Everyone is different, but for a pet home, I think its reasonable to approve DES or Alter. I just ask that alter be done no sooner than 6 months if altering. As for shipping, yes its up to the breeder and the adoption process. If all is great, I got to know you, I felt comfortable you'd be a perfect homes as much as meeting someone could be, I would. It would actually be easier than driving due to the border in all honesty these days and I won't be or you won't be stuck at the border. Its not that far from me. Maybe some would not like that I would ship. I don't know. However, I feel it is every breeder's right, as long as they are adopting and doing a thorough adoption process correctly, to choose to ship or not. There are breeders that do ship and there are some that do not. I feel comfortable shipping. Plain and simple. I think the adoption process is harder than shipping IMHO. Letting go of a kit to a new home you just poured your heart out to, is the hardest part.

I really would like one! especially a black sable jill, she is the one of my dreams! LITERALLY! every time i see one i 'say' that is the one i saw. but in reality, none of them had the face shape that the little jill kit that was in my dream did. I saw that one and was like o.o It's her!!! Please post more pictures of her, that first black sable girl. she is beautiful! Honestly, it looks like i want one. now just convincing the family members for yet "another one??" yes another one!
LOL she couldn't help how cute she is! Her parent did the work, I raised them on a great diet and I socialize them daily multiple times. The gift of being a smaller breeder is more time. Sure I can get you pics. I may not be the fastest to post, but it will be soon! I never held any expectations to what I would get for kits this year, I knew it'd be a gorgeous litter if no phantoms, but I never knew it'd be this gorgeous! A lot more jills than I expected, but I shall have all hobs next year for saying that! ;D

Of course I would rather meet someone, but why would I limit myself to not shipping, if I felt in my heart, they would be good homes based upon the entire picture, references and adoption process That is so awesome to hear And TBH I expect an extensive interview application process from any good breeder. If there wasn't much of a process in place to ensure good homes, I'd be leery of the quality of breeding and care into the fuzzies. I totally understand concerns of flying ferrets unattended for some people, as we have all heard of the pets that go missing. (Did you hear about the cat at JFK airport that went missing and it took 2 months to find it? (It was hiding in the ceiling - cats are also escape artists) At the same time, taking utmost care to follow all procedures (at then some) really makes it unlikely that anything should happen. So far I've never had a problem flying Rolo unattended (there is no other way to travel with ferrets) but just in case I always tape his vet records and all info to the top of the carrier, and zip tie the doors shut to prevent "aww he's so cute I wanna pet him" tampering. Anyway, it's good to know you will ship so that when the time is right for me to get another ferret I know to contact you and get on your wait list

Where are you located in Illinois? I live in southern indiana, my boyfriend and I have been talking about a breeder kit at some point but its hard to find one that would accept DES as an alternative to neutering.

I'd say Pm me we can discuss I am not opposed to it to the right home. Thanks bev! They are darlings! I appreciate the congrats! @ henrika, yes a very extensive adoption process, I will ship however. I have yrs of exp and feel very comfortable. I dont fly into JFK for a reason, so I choose the closer one. Just too much going on. I am overly cautious and base it upon temps, direct flight, carrier, and policies plus I bolt rather than ziptie, except the front and even tat is ziptied well but open-able for emergencies and it is meshed off too to those fingers people like to try and put inside, for the right home, getting to know you, I would. Just PM me and we can discuss. Others dont for their own reasons, I will for the right home. I respect everyone's differences and how they choose to do it too. For me, I know how, feel really comfy etc. To me it is safe with the proper knowledge.

need to switch lenses! getting a pic that depicts her more so in how dark and gorgeous she really is, is like counting teeth! Plus, she loves attention, so out of 100 pics you choose the one that best shows her. Its the best I can do with the lighting, perhaps its time for outdoor pics! , will use another lens next time. Not so much of a macro. I use a macro for my other pics in life, as it really brings out the true pics like in the old days. miss Polaroids of all things and the 35 mm you developed, yet we'd not be able to post as well and quickly if we had to scan each one. I tried for full body etc but she so wanted treats! and me! she is really black with exceptional beauty, a must see in person! The camera lens I used the day of pics was not the best choice for the lighting that was on. But here is a sneak peak! and boy all the kits have opened eyes, babies are weaned, and drinking from a water bottle, litter trained already, poo duty is an understatement lol when it comes to daily poo duty very sweet babies all 6 of them! I haven't experienced and finger chomps yet, but I shouldn't jinx self , however daily socialization is a good thing! Keeps me on my toes. They can eat like champs! OMG talk about some MAJOR raw food ordering coming up. They have been growing like weeds! call me the poo-duty control police LOL love it, brings still a passion to the heart each day you devote life to such gorgeous kits edit: unless its just me and my computer resolution is too high, which I will check out, here is pic of my gorgeous black jill to the above kits (3) p.s. she thought me interrupting the food at the time was a chance to stick her tongue out at me and say "hey, no pics! I'm eating! that is just rude! " ;D

you really should see her in person! Pics speak a thousand words but real-life speaks a million! She is amazing! Love her! She was slurping on some real food when I took that pic! Too funny. yip! Very very sweet personality like the hob she was bred to. Can't wait to get pics of him up! Pics can't do any justice, but they give a really good insight. Thanks Heather and Darlene! She is perfect to us in every single way! Look at her sweet kits she made, lovely lovely kits. I'll be updating kit pics again too! Now that all 6 have eyes open, its so precious! Then again, I am kind of biased to them, they are perfect!

Jackie, she is from FFFN. I adore her! Sorry, we posted at same time! Does she not melt your heart? As if her kits don't already! I am so in love with her and couldn't be happier to have her in my life. Proud mama she is and me too! She doesn't mind snuggling one bit! She did very good as a first timer to her kits! Me, I was the one that would make sure every little thing was as it should be right up until she had them! LOL it is easy to worry when our fuzzies mean so much to us! You pour your whole heart into it and from there, you still pour your heart more. It is never-ending and I am so incredibly happy! Just wait until I can get some shots of her lovely Hob she was bred to!
