I lost two girls last month. Really upsetting since thats makes 3 this year. All ones I have adopted so I didn't know their full medical history. Delilah passed when I was at work. My bf held her and she passed in his arms. She went naturally which seems right since I was assuming she was around 7 yrs old. I had her for almost a year when I adopted her from Superpets after somone dropping her off. Daiquiri was the worst when passed away. I came home to find her having a seizure. I tried honey on her gums to see if it was her blood sugar. She was trying so hard to breath and screamed a few times. I rushed her to the vet and they put her on oxygen. She was still seizuring and they said it wasn’t insulinoma. They suggested medicine but she would first have to stop seizuring and said she could be brain dead even if she comes out of it. And it was probably a brain tumor. I was assuming this to begin with. So I had her put to sleep to end her suffering. They came back and said they needed to give her three doses because her brain wasn’t responding to it. My babygirl came in a sweet little box wrapped in a towel. I’ll miss you both

Condolences on the passing of your 2 girls. Having had my Studdidoo have seizures with his insulinoma, I know how traumatic they are (why I will never feed processed food because I never want to see another ferret seizure ever again if I can help it). If it helps I was told that the screaming is just the voice box muscles contracting and not necessarily an indicator of pain.
Keeping you and yours in my thoughts and hoping that you can find solace in better memories of your time with the girls

Thank you so much. I didnt know that but she would tighten up so much that it seemed she had to scream for air. I could tell she wasn't there so I don't think she felt much pain. She's in a better place now though

Oh, that is such a hard way to lose one And to lose two in one month would be devastating. Losing two 3 months apart was hard enough at least they are now happy and healthy playing together at the bridge.

Thank you guys. Yes it was hard losing them. Especially because they are so good at hiding illnesses.
