Not waiting for trouble to come knocking on my door, referring to the post on the FML last week about the maggots found in the crochet ferret toy, I have switched over completely to putting pony beads in all my DerbyEggs. The eggs will be made exactly as before with the one exception of what is inside each one. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

(i am the one that paypal did not notify you that i had ordered from you). I don't see any maggots in mine! LOL. are mine made with pony beads or the old material? just want to know in case he breaks them open. although, knowing my ferret, he may just eat maggots bc he is such a pig like that.

I think yours may have the pasta inside, when I learned that you had not gotten your DerbyEggs; I have my PayPal account set to notify me by email any time an order comes to me, I felt so bad about that and I snatched a dozen from stock and sent them to you. So.................if yours get dirty, PLEASE don't toss them in the washer, instead take a wet cloth to spot clean them. You can even add a little dish detergent when spot cleaning them, just DON'T submerge them in water. Switching over completely to pony beads will prevent any kind of problem, they can be submerged in water to clean them.

Such a shame some ....****.... decided to toss plastic in the washer Honestly, I'm not sure if it was the special yarn, or the pasta inside that makes my deafies adore them as much as the hearing ferts

Hmm I wonder if there is something about the derby eggs they like better vs. other crochet eggs? I have 3 eggs someone else made me, and my ferrets won't even touch them, no interest at all... Yet I keep hearing stories about how much peoples ferrets love them? Are my ferrets just weird, or are the eggs defective? Lol!
Ooh and p.s. That's funny that someone thought they could throw the eggs in the washer, then they complained... Well duh, everybody knows what is in the eggs, why would anybody think it would be ok to pt them in the washer? hahaha...

I don't know what the difference is Mike, but if I have a few of the eggs together, my guys will pick out the Derby eggs to stash first. Those were also the only ones Boris had any interest in! And also the only ones I've seen Lucrezia and Willow juggling and wrestling.

Could we still request pasta if we wanted? I like that it is blockage safe. Sent from my SCH-M828C using ProBoards If you truly want yours made with the pasta inside instead of the pony beads I can make them with pasta. BUT................you have to understand, submerging the eggs into water will get the pasta inside wet and then it will mold and then maggots (just the thought of that makes me gag) inside. I will make them however you want them just as long as you understand what will happen if the eggs get water inside. I thought long and hard before making the decision to switch over to pony beads from the pasta I had been using for the past 5 - 6 years, I was just trying to head off trouble before it landed on my front stoop. My goal has always been to make a toy ferrets will love and it also being a toy ferret parents can trust to be safe for their ferrets.
