It really is terrible, I lost marley at the end of last year and it still hurts.. But it's getting better *hugs* My guys are all a-ok! Gomez has put on a fair hunk of weight actually, he's HUGE! I was a bit worried about him today actually, his belly was a bit hard and he was a bit fidgety all day so I'll be keeping an eye on him go see if his belly gets softer and if not its a trip to the vet for us! We ate liver today! Whole with no problems I was proud!

Definitely keep an eye out, then, but here's hoping it's nothing serious. Liver all by themselves? That's great!

Tummy is down and he is looking fine so I'm guessing it may have just been gas... Yep! I was so proud I tried them on spleen today and they hated me and refused to eat it

So one final check in - how are the fuzzes doing? One question that was raised was stool - have you seen any issues with it (constipation, etc)? Stomach issues and such could be attributed to that and it could be because of the bone content (if the chicken carcasses are not meaty, it'll throw the ratio off). We just need to make sure the bones they get are raw, *meaty* bones.

Toileting has been ok! Some days I notice that I haven't seen any... But they do have spots that I don't come across straight away so I've noticed them going their instead. Some of the carcasses are really meaty with necks and everything and some are almost bare bone so depending on how meaty they are I do change the quantity of bone in some meals just to compensate!

Okay, so overall you don't notice a problem with constipation or the like?

Congratulations you've graduated and you're ready to walk this path alone, now. You have the foundation to help you feed your fuzzes in a more natural and healthy manner. Please remember that your learning never stops, and dietary needs change from ferret to ferret (as I'm sure you are more than aware of) and throughout each their lives. I would also like you to be aware that though you now have the capability and the knowledge to create and adjust your little ones diets, you are never alone and that your mentor (you need only pm) is always available to you. The list is also a very good resource and you should always be aware that it's available to answer any questions you may have either about diet or care. Despite graduating, please continue to search out other protein sources to expand and improve your little ones diet. Good luck, in a few days either Sherry or I will lock down this thread. If you wish to update your menu do so now as it will be viewed and can be used by yourself and many others at any time as a reference tool. Once it gets locked down you will not be able to post or change it. Your mentor will be in to congratulate you shortly . Congratulations again ciao
