It's rather like cats, you can do it but more times than not you don't get it done. I've had ferrets that walk very good on leash and others who act like they'd sooner by hung out to dry. I would start them by first just "taking" them for walks...in your arms. Get them used to the smells, the sounds the sights......then when you've done this a number of times take them out one at a time. Some are real ambassadors, others not so much ciao

If I'm going any distance or in public with my ferrets they wear harnesses and leashes. That way if they squirm and succeed on escaping my grasp, I've got a much better chance of catching them ciao

My kids LOVE walks outside. Particularly Pixie (she actually walks instead of slithering). They really enjoy the beach too!
