As long as they are eating and not showing signs of major weight loss or lethargy it should be ok. Just keep an eye on them. Now that Huck is eating soup, start to gradually make the soup thicker. When it becomes almost a puree on texture you can start to add in very tiny chunks. Also, see if you can get your hands on some ground meat, most ferrets like ground meat. See how they like it (esp Huck). If they don't take it you can mix it into soup, or freeze it for later.

Some one is having so stomach problems again... Now I just have to figure out who I'll let you know when I find out.

Okay. It could be a number of things but narrow down who it is first and then we can do some troubleshooting. Also it is shedding season, it's possible someone has a furball...

I couldn't figure out who was doing the throwing up. Who ever it was stopped and has been fine ever since. Huck still only wants his soup but he will eat it at a thinker consistency. Blake wants his chunks and will eat them in they are nickle sized. I want to get him to quarter sized by next weekend.

by next weekend like this upcoming weekend? I'd say by a week and a half from now he should be eating chunks larger than a quarter. As for the soup, make it thicker. See if you can find some ground chicken (or turkey) and perhaps mix some of that into the soup so make it a tiny bit chunky/thicker. (like, don't blend it in, just mix some into the soup really well). See if he likes that. If not no big deal, the rest can be made into soup or saved for later. But it's worth a shot. Keep me posted.

So life has really been catching me off guard lately.
Getting the ground meats isn't feasible right now. So I just cut up pieces of chicken really little and he ate those without much of an issue.
Blake is a little weirdo, He'll take the bigger chunks, chew on them until their basically cut in half, leave the half that he didn't eat and go for an entirely different piece. He doesn't go back for the halves that he didn't eat....

Alright so... update... Both boys are eating chunks larger than a quarter but nothing really big. Huck still fights me with the pumpkin but I just think he likes to give me a hard time. Blake thinks that fish oil tastes funny but is willing to eat it.
Right now I'm just trying to focus on getting them enough food. I'm not really sure how much I should be giving them...
Can I try giving them ground beef or should I wait?

I swear I replied to your last post... ??/ I seem to be having forum issues with my phone I guess. Chunks are good, you can always work the size up later. Yes, try beef and see what they think. Pork and turkey are good ones to try next too. Beef is kind of a big jump from chicken because it has a much stronger flavor, but some really like it. As for the pumpkin, if he really doesn't want it, then don't worry about it. It's really not worth stressing him out over. Fish oil is really good for their skin and coats, so if they will eat it try to give them a little each week. It is good for hairballs and such too. Also, look around and see if you can find heart and liver. That's next on the agenda.

I started giving Huck the fish oil also. He'll eat it. He's not eating as much as he should be though. It's like some days he doesn't mind and others he won't even give any interest in it. So... it's more like a baby step with him... Blake is just a pig. I think he'd eat their ceramic food bowl if it wasn't so hard.

lol @ Blake. As for Huck do you mean he's not eating enough FOOD, or he's not eating enough fish oil? (just clarifying) Let's give him a few days to catch up. You can try mixing some liver into some soup and/or try hand feeding a little piece and see what they think. If Huck is really resistant just back off for now and let's get him eating the chunks a little more solidly first before really pushing the new stuff.

I'm keeping a close eye on him but he's getting lighter and Huck is my big boy. So I've just been giving him his pureed and hoping he'll get enough it's just hard to be sure.

Okay then back up a step for a few days, maybe make it a little thinner soup/smaller chunks and let him catch up. You may try mixing in pork too as it's a nice fatty meat and he may like the flavor better.
