I usually do a weekly health check and chart on all of our animals. I've been a bit busy lately and haven't been doing it. Anyway I'm trying to get back in the habit and I'm looking for suggestions on what should be checked on the ferrets.

Weight, check eyes for clarity, how they are moving, hold them up under the front legs, run your hand down them checking for unusual lumps/bumps. Check ears for odd looking wax, or wax build up.

With addition of the above. Check their teeth. I also like to brush my ferrets. I like to use a fine tooth flea comb. Make sure we don't have any hitch hikers. I also use a small soft horse face brush on them. (this brush fits in palm of hand-not a big brush)
I usually do this when I clip nails.
