(like the alliteration? ) I got a package of 6 little quails frozen from the asian market. They're still thawing, but it looks like they've got heads. What's the best way to divvy these up for the babies? They're a lot smaller than the hens I get, but does the same method apply? It doesn't look like they've got much meat on them aside from a bit in the breast, so I just wanted to check. Thanks!

It really depends how much your guys eat, and how big the quail are. I buy adult quails, and I just chop them in half and pluck out the bigger feathers so that there is a little less mess. Half a quail will last him a day and a half to two days on his own. He eats the lot.

Mine just get chopped in half as well. If your wee ones won't take it this way, then quarters. And leave the head on for them
