I agree with kpaz. I like the idea but most ferrents dont have that type of money. You would have better luck using the most affordable fabrics Vs. organic and Eco friendly. I think it would be really difficult get retail stores to sell ferret bedding. There just isnt really that big of a market. Most people buy a couple sets and never really buy any more bedding so you wouldnt have many repeat customers. It is hard enough for people to make a living selling online and it can take several years before your name really gets out there. Another thing, you have to be careful not to copy other peoples designs. Sent from my SCH-M828C using ProBoards See I think the original problem is I was looking for more people like me. I HATE all the currently available hammocks in retail stores. They are all over-priced (things are just more expensive in canadian shops) or they are marshals and then I'm supporting them, and the ones I did buy fell apart within months. Then there are my beds, which I made for Rolo with my pattern-making & sewing skills, which have pretty much lasted a year so far, and are pretty much still in perfect condition. Yes they cost more to make, but I always considered them to be worth it because of the superior quality. But I guess not everyone else sees it that way, especially if they don't know that it will last them 2-3 years. Anyway I'm going to lower the prices by selling only online, because then the retail markup can be considerably lower, because all it has to cover is the website and the time it takes to ship things off.

I refuse to buy from the stores as well. However- I've had a set Rose's bedding for going on 5 years, and it's STILL good! Mind you- I've got a few sets and change them out regularly.

I would be aiming for the same type of longevity with my bedding as well Of all the bedding Rolo has used in the past two years, the only ones I've thrown out have been store bought as they have a notable tendency to fall apart or warp when I washed them, or they just weren't comfy and Rolo ignored them completely.
