Shouldn't anyone still look out for that brown one then? Its a ferret, most likely domesticated, loose. And darn it wasn't the right ferret

What I thought someone said was that the animal in question might not have even a ferret, which is why they overlooked it.

yes, don't forget at this time of year....the minks are doing their thing too, they look an awful lot like ferrets. Out of the corner of my eye one day I saw a flash of a fuzz butt and thought that one of my DEWs had escaped. I saw that little flash a couple of days later....she was hunting mice in my garage. She was a very pretty little ermine. ciao

Absolutely incredible news, Molly was found today after 5 weeks! Poor baby is covered in ticks and has had a rough time of it but luckly she was found by a neighbor a few days ago and they remembered and called the owner.
Made me cry a little!
